In this sermon, I offer some critique on the modern, secular doctrine of intersectionality. Instead, I remind believers about what Scripture says is true of us: we are created, redeemed, and loved. Isaiah 43:1-7.

The book of Scripture tells us: we were made as man and woman. The book of creation tells us: we are made XX, XY, XXY, XYY and all kinds of wonderful varieties that God came up with. That's not existentialism. That's acknowledging our creator as, well, you know, creative.

in·ter·sec·tion·al·i·ty /ˌin(t)ərsekSHəˈnalədē/ noun the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage. Intersectionality is the work of CONNECTING different groups, of finding people who are identified with two groups. I'm outta here.
