Why use both tape and dope? Teflon is not for use on PVC and will soften the pipe and fail..

Tenés mucha razón. Ya tiene todo medido y flojo de antemano y la gente que no entiende se piensa que es así de fácil. En sanitaria se sabe cuándo se empieza y nunca cuando se termina.
