Hi SIMON and CHRIS I have this Beautiful Llewellyn deck now for 10 yrs now , I just Love Throwback Thursdays it allows me to dig out my oldies but goodies put them back on my Tarot table again. I was listening to Chris speak about 8 of Cups and the 2 Cups just sitting on Water as she’s is walking Away. I always interpreted as going back to The 2 of Cups actually representing romantic relationships and Water Emotions and She’s walking away from it all that’s how I see the placement of the cups and this card . Thank you both for bringing back these past decks there like old forgotten friends. Hugs Caroline 😘❤️

Sorry, this is such a tangental question...but, what is the "bog" referring to in the Brits phrase "bog standard"? Is it like, a quagmire bog, like "every town has a bog"? Is it an anachronym, maybe Business Office Grade? Just not getting this phrase, but love the interview. Thanks, from the states.

"bog standard" means "garden variety" or "run of the mill" indicating that you're getting the ordinary version of an item, not necessarily of low quality, but nothing fancy or special... it's not clear what the origin is, but two leading ideas are that it is a corruption of 'box standard' from the early era of motorbike mass manufacture as in you get the basic version that comes out of the box; the other is also mass manufacture but of plain white ceramic toilets ('bog' being British slang for toilet), so if you got the ubiquitous white, rather than anything custom, you're getting the 'bog standard' version.
