For this edition of #ThrowbackThursday, let's take a look back at the 2023 Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.
In a matchup of the last two Funny Car winners at the 54th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, Matt Hagan drove past J.R. Todd in the final round on Sunday to kick off the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season, also giving Tony Stewart a second straight victory at Gainesville Raceway.
Mike Salinas (Top Fuel), Troy Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won at the first of 21 races during the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season.

They did years ago it's called "Funny Car Summer" and I saw it with "On Any Sunday" at a little movie theater in westown on 35th avenue and cactus road In Phoenix Arizona!

Amazing to hear Matt Smith claim he’s not crying when he’s 100% crying. Think Vance Hines is shorting you well build your own stuff. Go out and call Haas and get your own CNC machine and get after it and quit crying. You claim Vance Hines has the only technology to make stuff that’s BS they came out of pocket to invest in the machines to produce parts, that’s what they do to fund their business and nothing is stopping you Matt Smith from doing the same. Quit crying and get better at what you do. Quit crying for rule changes to make up for your lack of performance
