Throwdown - Live from Rockfest 2014 in Montebello

Күн бұрынA very special Throwdown set from Rockfest 2014 in Montebello. Bassist Matt Mentley is back in the fold, and he lets loose in this performance. Live shredder Dave Nassie, formerly of Bleeding Through and other bands, brings Dave Peters' songwriting to life on the guitar, while on drums, underground legend Jarrod Alexander came back to tear through the Haymaker material he performed so impressively on years ago. Stay tuned for a full-length video interview with Alexander which we will post shortly on this site. For my friends, for myself, for my family forever.

When I was doing some jail time in Denver I met a dude washing dishes. He asked me what kind of music I liked. I said Pantera, etc. he said brother, if you love Pantera you’ll love Throwdown! When I got out I looked up Throwdown and I absolutely LOVE THIS BAND!!!!

@@Red1676 Ehhh...that early straight edge hardcore stuff was maybe cool when we were young (teenagers), but it was more like a fashion (being straight edge), when people ("fans") got old(er) they embraced different fashions.

when I saw Throwdown open for Machine Head, Mark was on guitar fucking KILLING IT!!!! that dude cannot touch Marks ability on guitar. Mark was the guitarist on Venom &Tears and Deathless....

@Deadnsd pop metal? Not even fucking close, they were going for more of a groove metal style on that record because Dave is heavily influenced by pantera and down and he writes all the music , pop metal is like judas priest or some shit

@@jessiewalker6918 I agreed with your comment until you said that Judas Priest is pop metal... Neither Pantera nor Throwdown would be where they are without Judas Priest. Pantera's 4th album, Power Metal, is heavily influenced by Priest specifically.

Throwdown was awesome live. I saw them with Suffokate, Carnifex, First Blood, and I think one other in Sacramento. Was Halloween 2011 if I remember correctly...Took my sister to her first deathcore/hardcore show lol I'll admit I was a little disappointed they didn't play anything off Deathless but they still slayed.
