It had to be done....I threw away Pollux's dog bed to make room for the arrival of our live Christmas tree. This will be my shelter dogs first Christmas, and this funny dog video highlights my quirky dog's reaction to his first Christmas tree.

Not for a long time....Although, I love a real tree...I don't like cleaning the mess afterwards. I have had a fake tree for years now...no mess, no fuss! :) Your Christmas Tree is beautiful Renee!

When I was a kid my dad would cut one from the backyard and it was always a Charlie Brown kind of Christmas tree thin and bare, but add lights and ornaments it was great!

We don't celebrate Christmas ( not Christian) but as a child we would go to my aunt's and have a wonderful time and get prizes and chocolate's sweets and of course a yummy dinner still remember the socks with the goodies

Pollux had his first family vacation and now he´s going to have his first Christmas. Pollux has a forever family....I´m tearing up with happiness for him. I´ve seen what animals experience in shelters, and when one gets saved it warms my heart!!!! Thank you for chronicling Pollux´s life outside the shelter, it is a delight to watch. Pollux has a beautiful family and a wonderful big brother,(The Maxxer) Thank you so much for sharing your family Renee!!!

Pollux probably only had things to chew on at the shelter. So chewing is just natural for him. I love seeing him and Maxie play. Such love!!!!!!

I am 67 years old and have NEVER had an artificial tree, never will!! There is nothing like the fun and smells of live trees! For years we went with the kids to chop our own but alas they're all grown now !! Love your tree, do not let Pollux eat that flocking!!

Your house looks so inviting, homey, and cozy. It looks like you've created a wonderful environment for your family - both the human members and dog members of the family. I just discovered your videos and I've been binge-watching the Pollux and Maxxie ones for half the day while working. They put a huge smile on my face! Thank you! I can't wait to see more! :)

Renee, you are so good and patient with Pollux's oral destruction of his bed and stuffed toys. For your sake, I'm glad that he knows to chew only his things and not your furniture (save for the earlier incident with the dining room chair). It's so sweet that you didn't want to toss the bed with Pollux watching, lest you hurt his feelings! I didn't know you can get a real tree all pre-lit and flocked. It looks lovely; I look forward to seeing it all decorated in your next installment.

Just got a large bag of giant squeakers. Spent the morning repairing 2 mallards, 1 Dragon and 1 dinosaur. Result..... one happy dog surrounded by all her very noisy squeaky toys! Pollux’s bed has had my fingers itching to fix it, even though I know he loves to chew the devil out of everything. Knowing you, you’ve already planned a new “chew bed” for him! Happpy holidays!

In the confusion of everything he probably would want his bed even more. Can you just throw out the loose pieces and leave the bed torn open the way it is he's probably satisfied with it that way and he might tear up some more but he might not because he just might like it that way because it's his it's his special bed. He fixed it. he's going to have to do the same thing go and fix his bed the way he wants it I would just let him have his bed the way it is he really likes that and you're a very sweet mom the best I've ever seen.

The tree is really nice and oh so pretty. You are so lucky that you have Pollux and he has you. We have nothing around our area that does trees like that perhaps 50 miles away so for that you are fortunate as well.

As kids, our parents ALWAYS had live trees, some balled and plantable THEN when we left home the green artificial tree with lights arrived, When the grandkids came along the live trees reappeared! MAXXIE rolling in stuff... you're lucky one our our dogs would find the stinkiest pile and roll like Tina Turner rolling on the river! We'd break the ice on a pond, lake or river in the winter to throw her in to clean her up, so we didn't throw up getting home.. Maxxie rubbing on his favorite pines had me in suspense about your beautiful tree. POLLUX did have a "what the what" look initially but settled in for tor "latest Hayden Adventure" ... waiting for the the next episode, lol! RANDY is so funny, he handles living with the action-oriented women very well, letting them know as needed "don't shove me down "... his humorous points are A=. BRECKEN - B-GIRL is HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS yippee! College girl knows her roots and where the LOVE IS. Don't let Pollux near WINNIE! KENDEL- You are Missed! RENEE you're a hoot, can't wait to figure out why Pollux put away his needle-nose and go all out to tear up his donut and boat? He'll let you know if you're in the dog house in due time! LOVE TO ALL, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

We have always had a live tree (50 years ) but in the end I did not like the mess and the stress any more. I had to buy it, get it in the car and bring it in the house. After christmas I had to throw it out and watch 40,00 € burning to ashes. In between I always felt pity for the tree, dying in our living room. It was a good thing as long as the kids were small, traditional and as you say the wonderful smell. But 2 years ago we got a big, good quality artificial tree. It looks like the real thing and it is so much easier. I love it.🌲

It use to “snow” often in our house. Unfortunately it’s not his bed that gets destroyed it’s the sofa. We have gone through five sofas in the 14 years we’ve been here.

During these interesting times we find ourselves in for the love of my dog I have stored in my pantry at a minimum 3 months of food for my fur buddy. I enjoy your videos, they are quite heartwarming during this Christmas Season 🌌🔆💛

I would suggest crate training if you haven’t tried that. I got a shelter pup that chewed everything I owned, every shoe, pillow, book a total mess. Finally I got him a crate to go in when I would leave which changed him into a much more calm and happy dog. He even started going in when I would get ready. When he got older he didn’t need the crate anymore and was fine when I would leave.

I love the smell of a real Christmas tree! 😂😂Pollux really did some decorating his bed, God bless him, he's so unique with his habits it's adorable😀 oh and Maxxie I just love how sweet he looks in his shirts no matter what color he's wearing he's absolutely adorable. Gorgeous tree Renee- l didn’t even know there was such a thing as a prelit real tree. Very cool. The smell of a live tree is so nostalgic 🥰 but l love my balsam hill prelit tree too - hopefully the cats will leave the baubles in place. I’m optimistic 😋

We have an artificial tree only because hubby is allergic to pine. I do miss the tradition of going to chop one down! Your tree is beautiful! Pollux looks unphased that his play bed is missing!

hello, Renee yr tree is beautiful. I think mooie loves his shirts. noticed he looked over his shoulder when u put the shirt on him. he feels special.wh y don't u get a wooden box for Pollux and put blankets in it. I think he sucks on soft toys and such because he was sent to shelter when he was so young. mIssed nursing on his mom. your daughter is so beautiful. she seems so sweet. happy holidays yall

W O W !!! Look at that tree! 😳 Pre snowed AND lighted! The real trees here in Australia come chopped down......end of story. The last few years I go out into the bush and find a medium sized dead branch (no leaves) and decorate it with lights and ornaments 😂😂. Sounds yucky but its quite pretty......honest. But yours is on a whole other level!! 🇦🇺

LOL.....ummmm he better not!!!! He is very interested in the tree....sniffs it all day long :). We decorated over the weekend (video coming out Friday) and he is loving this little snowman ornament I have hanging low on the tree. He keeps nudging it with his nose ❤️

The tree looks stunning. The most challenging thing for me is to put the lights on. I really hate that as much as I like when i see them on afterwards. But in Catalonia, where I live, trees like yours, fixed with lights are not available. I would buy one if we had them here for sure..
