Just keep at it, Lynn…..you’ll get there. Once you have accomplished decluttering and organizing the house….its just regular maintenance. It will be worth it. We need so much less than what we acquire. If there is a doubt in your mind about something….you don’t need it. Peace of mind and home calmness is so much more important. You can do this

Loved your back patio transformation in this video, and laughed so hard at the suggestion to declutter my clothes in a swimsuit. It is really a brilliant idea, but just hearing you say it and picturing it came across as very funny to me at first. 😂

I totally just laughed out loud driving in my car thinking of the visual of everybody in swimsuits trying our clothes in their closet!! You are too funny!

A good clean, and tidy does the trick every time. You can't beat having a good clear out, in fact once you've started sometimes you have to stop yourself getting carried away. I also understand what you mean about the New house thingy, we moved only in 20th December and I can relate to that already. It's nice to hear you talk about the past! I think I started watching your videos back when the youngest were the two boys, you hadn't decided to try for a baby yet. It was the brownish colored rental that was before the furnished rental on the water. You are one if the OGs! Thanks for years of cleaning motivation!

I laughed at the swimsuit suggestion....but then 45 seconds later I was like hmmmm actually that's a great idea. Hi Lynn! For my Dyson vacuum... I just buy a new battery on Amazon for $40 - $45 - and I have the power of a "fancy Dyson". (I have v.7 & it runs like a dream!) You just have to make sure to match the battery shapes, but it's not hard to do since there's a wide variety. The battery that came with the Dyson was a 2.3 or something low like that & the other batteries were 4.2 or so. (I should mention my hubby's an electrician & all-around fix-anything-upper. LOL! He said it was fine to buy the battery without any worries.) In case someone could use this info - here ya' go! :)

My husband had shoulder surgery 4 days ago and I took a week off to be with him. I let him know that on Wednesday we are going through our closet and dressers- he will lounge on the bed as I bring out his clothes, one drawer at a time and then his hanging items and that he has to be RUTHLESS about tossing what is faded or has holes and what he hasn’t worn in a few years- this might take all day with him! I have already started my side of the job today as I was doing laundry and putting away clothes, I saw items I had shoved into the back of my drawers and removed them immediately and put in a donation box. Next will be cleaning items- I have so many different products I rarely use that I have to go through it and donate most of it to the local homeless shelter (I have gone as natural as possible because of on going allergies tied to household chemicals, I had to get rid of my beloved Pine Sol because of what’s in it!). If C-19 showed us anything about ourselves, it was all the stuff we had to clean around and dig past to get to what we needed and led a lot of folks to decluttering!

I had two Dyson broom vacs & hated that you had to hold the trigger while vacuuming & yes the batteries died. I have had a LG broom vac from Costco for 3 years, it has an on off button which I love! It came with two batteries & 2 filters and they’re still going strong!

Fantastic clean and declutter motivation. Everytime I see people bring a trash bag in the master bedroom and the video is speeded, I always try to see if any clothe or magazines/catalogues get discarded as I struggle so much to toss those. I've didn't seen any, I hope you've just didn't had and that it wasn't just edited out 🤭

I would never buy a Dyson again only had for a few years the head broke and when we took to the repair shop he showed us most vacuums were Dyson with same issues. He said to buy a miele which is also super pricey but last forever maybe not have all bells and whistle but super reliable 😊
