"Thrown Out" of Paradise Resort, Last day in khao Lak, is June a good time to visit Thailand?
Bayfront Resort is a fabulous place to stay in khao Lak the low during season.
June is a great time to visit khao Lak. In the low season you can expect big rains, but it's still a great time to visit. Cheaper prices, less crowds and the rains cool things down nicely.
Sadly I won't be stepping foot in Paradise Resort again.
It's the hotel next door to mine which I recently reviewed. It's a lovely looking place so I decided to go last night for dinner for a change of scenery, and I returned today for lunch.
After i'd finished eating I went for dip in the pool to cool off and was approached by a member of staff who informed me that the pool was for hotel guests only and I needed to leave. All the hotels in the area allow you use of the pool if you are consuming in their bar/restaurant. Apparently you are welcome to spend money at the pool bar, but you're not allowed to use the pool. Absolutely bonkers and they just lost a customer. There are only a handful of guests staying there at the moment so you would think they would try to encourage repeat customers - not lose them.
Anyway, thankfully the wonderful Andalay bar is next door so guess where I'll be going for dinner.
Andalay bar is outstanding and if you want top quality food on this beach in a welcoming friendly atmosphere, it's the place to go.

Great vlogs… really enjoyed the content as I traveled there in February… back for Songkran next year… can’t wait… local restaurant reviews will be great… especially as the food is so great… ps why did they kick you out…?

Glad you enjoyed watching the vlogs. Regarding the paradise resort, it's the hotel next door and for a change of scene I went for dinner then lunch then next day at the pool bar. During lunch I went for a swim to cool off and was then asked to leave as I'm not a guest and not allowed to use the facilities. I was the only person there at the time so it seemed a bit silly on their behalf to lose a paying customer, clearly I wasn't welcome. Check the description for more clarity.
