Too loose you have to adjust tension, as well use fabric/foam tape onto gear positions its much quieter than, I swap knob for cheap aluminum shifter and its working great, 7+R positions even for ETS2/MudRunner 🙂👍

if your on pc yes, it will work standalone. pc is the only platform you can use it standalone though so if your on console, no.

if you're on pc you should be able to just plug it directly into the pc with the usb cable, on console you can't

That's my trackpad, it's just floating above the shifter.
