How can you close the quiz, so that students who are late can't answer

The new quiz engine I have really tried to get used to but I feel there is just too much animation and movement when trying to input data. The first line being a question name I think just gets in the way, I often start typing my fill in the blank or essay question in that line and then find out I need to cut and paste it into the next prompt. You would think doing it 146 times in a row I would learn but somehow I keep doing it. When scrolling down to enter more options for the question, if I scroll just one click too far to the bottom of the page it automatically closes the question input menu, it should only close when I click Done. Also when grading or moderating a quiz it should show the students name. Often when grading I get some questionable answers and I would like a reference to see whos quiz I am grading but as far as I can tell the only way I can if is I make note on whos attempt I am opening before grading. Another thing I wish there was a faster way to review without having to go all the way into the course, quiz, build, and moderate tab to start reviewing answers. I felt the classic quiz I could build and grade in 1/4 of the time that it takes me to use the new format.

hello. can I edit the points once the quiz is taken? I realized I made an error and one questions point weight was incorrect. for example all questions were 1.5 and for one I forgot the decimal = 15. is there a quick edit button or do I have to manually adjust each question?

I0ve been struggling with scoring because I was under the impression that the total score would be modified according to the nuber of points you created in the questions, but this doesnt seem to be automatic. Also, do you know if there's a way to moderate an exam similarly to Classic Quizzes while it's being taken? Thanks again!

In the case of long-answer questions in a quiz on canvas, can the professor see what all i have typed out/and deleted before actually submitting my answer? What I mean by this is, if I am writing a long-answer question and I keep editing it (adding and deleting things), before actually moving onto the next question or submitting my quiz, will the professor be able to see all of these edits? or just the completed answer? In Matching for New Quizzes if a student misses one question, they lose points for the entire group. How can this be prevented? Classic quizzes will only subtract a percentage.

Can you add Question groups in New Quizzes?

Is this an add-on feature that requires additional subscription/payment?

Amanda, thanks for this video! It's very helpful. Could you do a video on how to create quizzes using publisher provided test banks? My employer (a university) is about to switch from Blackboard to Canvas, and I'm pretty frustrated that there doesn't seem to be adequate info out there on how to work with publisher provided QTI files/Canvas test banks. I work with 2 fully online programs, so I have a LOT to do to prepare for the transition. Let me give you an example: let's say the publisher bank has 100 multiple choice questions per chapter, and I want a quiz on chapters 1 & 2 to give students 50 MC questions at random (25 per chapter, randomized, no one has the same exact test). Can you do a video on the best way to set that up? Thank you for any help!

I forgot to assign points to a question, can I go back and change that after the students took the test. Will Canvas regrade my quiz based on the new point total?
