We were vacationing in Michigan and viewed the Pictured Rocks at Munising on Sept 12. We were right across Superior from you. And on the 13 we were in Sault St. Marie - US side. Wish we would have bumped into you.

So close, Cynthia! We got to Sault St. Marie (Canada) the night of Sept 13th! That's an amazing coincidence and we love actually meeting up with people. You definitely win the prize for ALMOST being in the same place at the same time (separated by an international border, of course 😂). 👍 -Howard

We absolutely loved exploring up around Lake of The Woods and Thunder Bay. Some truly beautiful spots in those areas and so much less tourism than other spots in the province.

What a great episode. The furs that were shipped to the UK , eventually made it to Cat’s hometown of Stockport. Located in the northwest of England Stockport was home to Christie’s Hat Works where those furs were transformed into both Top and Bowler hats - both designed and made at Christie’s. Cats maternal grandmother and extended family worked with those furs from the mid 1800s all the way up to the 1960s.

Wow, what an awesome connection to history! When we heard about the fur trade to UK, I wanted to learn more, definitely appreciate you sharing. Was Christie's one of several hat companies operating there? Surely they didn't buy ALL the furs, right? Such an interesting time in history. 👍 - Howard

Sleeping Giant Provincial Park is pretty awesome. Not sure if you skipped it or it didn't make the video. The hike to the top of the Giant is one of the best hikes I've done. Great view of Isle Royale National Park from up there. EDIT: Also...it's pronounced SOO Sainte Marie. Sault is French for rapids.

My coffee got cold watching this- didn't want to miss a beat. The 'theme/history' parks are great. We have a few here too in 🇳🇱. So much easier to get into the time frame and understand and learn about the events 'back then'. The Canadian scenery keeps enthralling me. My time for hikes like that are ver but that doesn't stop me appreciating you efforts. A week of waiting for some adventures. Time flies- and I know I'll enjoy the next 'session' as much as the past videos. Travel safe, keep smiling. 🙏 🇳🇱🙋‍♀🇳🇿

Perfect example of the sleeping Giant. I remember following Terry's run in 1980. He was a true hero! You need to wear a hat on your walks to block the target on your head. hahaha

It’s been yrs since being in Thunder Bay. It was great to tour with you and I’m happy you took in all the sites. When you get to Wawa the is a Canada Goose just off the highway…it use to sit on the side of the hill down by the highway with a wingspan of a 100 ft. Now it’s much smaller.

You always find the best & interesting places to go! Best except for bird poop on the head... hike looked a little bit like a workout too! I think if they counted all of the steps up and over things it would be more than 50’ elevation gain 😜 did a 3 mile hike in Costa Rica that had so many little ups, downs, stairs, steps that we could barely walk later. 🤣
