I also love the interpretation that her "Let me take the suffering from you" is Odysseus trying to justify the decision in his mind. That, by taking this deal and letting his crew perish, he will "take the suffering" from them, sparing them the perils and pain of the rest of their journey. In other words, that his ruthlessness is actually mercy.

I was listening to this and just thinking, every time I hear 'please don't make me do this" I automatically expect "the blood on your hands... You can choose is whose" and that would have been such a good throw back to show, while ody has changed, he's always been solely focused on himself and getting home, ever since the beginning of the musical. I would have died over it if he did though so probably for the best. Nice singing BTW!! Sorry for the rant

All the songs in this were absolute bangers, its hard to even oick a favorite but if i really (and i mean REALLY) had to saueeze two favourites out? Scylla and Thunder Bringer. Saw a snippet of this cover in a short and thkught...a genderbent Zeus? A goddess of thunder singing about how great they are? I don't know...can it live up to Luke's portrayal. Yes. Yes it can. This is phenomenal! Didn't know about you until i happened upon this cover but I've been following Epic since the beginning and it just keeps leading me to talented people (Gigi and AnniFlamma). You've earned another sub and I've now received another great song to listen to.

Listening to the original, I imagined Zeus being revealed sitting playing with 'Pride' while an entourage of attendants loom around the men before being the lightning bolts that strike them. With this I imagine 'Pride' echoing Zeus's message while pushing down, grounding Ody with the charged air before the bolts strike the men. It still brings the dominant energy fitting of Zeus, but in closer proximity to Odysseus like Circe's There are Other Ways, leaving the instrumentals to be to looming aura of the Thunderbringer.

This is really nice, but it doesn't feel the same way as the original. it makes me think more of an echo, maybe Athena reflecting on what happened, after the fact. Still really cool just in a different way than Luke Holt's Zeus
