Great over view - the best I have seen on the Thunderlaser. Can't wait to see more of the machine in action !

Who makes the rotary you use is that the thunder or a aftermarket.

I’ve seen you have both a thunder laser AND the Aeon. Which would you consider to be better. Or which would you recommend. I’ve been looking at both of them.
@JERCustomDesignsInc3 жыл бұрын
well i like them both for their own reasons and can not really say one over the other. I would say probably depending on what it is that you will be doing that the Thunder is more of an industrial/commercial machine and AEON would be more a top of the line Hobby to commercial grade machine. My AEON has not been used in some time as i have it torn apart right now doing mods to it and my thunder is my go to at the moment. Again it really depends on what it is that your doing with it.

Kinda liking this machine, but I live in a smallish apartment. I think I can vent for engraving ok, but did I hear you correctly... would need additional air compressor to actually cut with this machine? All sizes or just thicker stuff? What specs.on air compressor would be adequate? And how loud is this machine?
@JERCustomDesignsInc3 жыл бұрын
Well thats a loaded question...lol let me see if i can answer that.... The machine is great speciallt for a small area, the supplied air compressor (is loud) but works well for engraving, and ok for 1/8in or less materials maybe up to 1/4in but that would be about it. the more air you have for cutting the fast you can cut and the cleaner the cut will be as well as cutting thicker materials. If you are acrylics very little air is needed as it is, it is only when you get to organic materials that are thicker you need to worry about more air. I use a a quiet tech 5gal roll around in my new setup and works pretty well for what i do from time to time, but my bigger lasers run off a quiet tech 26 gal air compressor. they are both pretty compact and decently quiet (not sure the neighbor would agree.) and the big one takes up about a 2x2ft areaand stands about 4 ish ft high. Hope this helps. let me know if you have any other questions.

What is the air thing that you said cleans out debris and water? I am thinking of getting one of these as a beginner laser person. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks in advance..what did you find to be actual power requirements to run machine + stock blower and air pump AND which rotator you make works best with this 24?
@JERCustomDesignsInc3 жыл бұрын
I Currently run the laser of 15amp to include air pump and blower. I run the chiller off separate 15amp circuit just because of the limitations in my current shop but will all work off a single 20Amp outlet

What is the price on this machine?
@Anointed2BlingByRein4 жыл бұрын
What’s better? This or glowforge pro? New to laser cutting. Deciding on a machine for unlimited crafting.
@JERCustomDesignsInc4 жыл бұрын
Well if you are looking for unlimited then Glowforge is not the way to go. They are Hobby grade lasers and a real pain in the butt because it is all web based and you have little control. Thunder is hands down better machine (commercial grade) that other then size you will be virtually limitless. Not sure of the price difference but worth every penny.

HOW WAS THE PRICE OF YOUR LASER COMPAIRED TO THE GLOW FORGE?
@JERCustomDesignsInc2 жыл бұрын
I wish I could tell you but I have never had a GF. I think GF is a little less maybe but GF is a toy compared to a thunder. Thunder is a professional machine.
