Yes children can see and sense things most don't. I'm 59 and my mom passed 30 years ago of cancer, she was 47. She was so happy to know her grandchildren. I was watching my 1 year old granddaughter last week and saw an experience she had. I was sitting near her when she woke from a nap. As soon as she opened her eyes she looked up slightly as though someone was standing there. She did a cute smile then did a little wave. No one was there. I asked her later in the day where was Great Gramma Elaine, she smiled and pointed up. I'm happy to know she has a special guardian angel. ❤🤍

I'm 61 and have no idea how it started. But, my husband thinks I can learn to control my fears about something like this. I'm trying to unlearn this behavior, but it's almost like a primal feeling of danger and no matter how hard I try, I can't get it under control 😞! My son has Natchitoches Indian from his dads family. My ex’s parents moved to Oregon from Louisiana decades ago. They never shared this incredible legacy with me when we got married, in fact they hid it sadly. I recently found out through one of my sons cousins and through Ancestry finding out another cousin is the chief. My son was amazed and proud when he found out this part of his heritage. Darn cool. He’s only known my side of Scott/Norwegian heritage. It’s awesome we can find things through DNA that others didn’t want to share.

Same thing here. My great grandma was obviously Native American. She was born in Oklahoma, and when she moved in with her daughter, my grandma, in my hometown in La, we knew it was not something talked about. It wasn't until the last 30 years or so my grandma told us about her grandma who was Native American who married an Irishman. Momma's maternal ancestors were Irish, Scottish and Cherokee. In the Deep South, it was an embarrassment to have any Native American blood, so it was considered best to keep it a secret... I always thought that was sad. We are who we are, and should be proud of our heritage.

Lester, I think that was a Eastern Lubber Grasshopper. They are a bit of a menace when it comes to gardens. FYI, don't touch them. They are kind of like a skunk and will spew an awful foamy stink defensively. Hopefully the ostriches don't try to eat them, since I've heard they are toxic, if consumed. They raise those red wings as a warning to predators they are poisonous. Not sure how toxic, though, especially to an animal the size of Carl and the rest of the fam.

Are Locusts indigenous to Texas? If not, you need to keep the feed store doors securely closed. Last thing you need is a swarm searching for food.

Lester, thank you for the history lesson. We as the "outsiders" need to learn more about our country and appreciate this great land we live in. Native Americans have always been a history lesson. I live in Greenville, Ohio which was a meeting place for the local tribes to hear from their Profit. Also the Treaty of Greenville was sign with them to open up the lands for the white men. We have an awesome history here in our little neck woods. Blessings and Joy to you and the others See you later Thunder Locust ⚡ 🦗❤️

It is a grasshopper. Locust have shorter horns. When I was a kid I had a bug zoo that was always full of different bugs mostly grasshoppers. I shared a room with my sister and she would get so mad because I had that zoo on my nightstand.

Lester, the Choctaw Nations Labor Day Festival takes place each year in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma. Not far from Daniel & Dusty. It is a time when The Nation comes together to perform the Historical and Traditional activities of their ancestors. It is very interesting to be able to visit the Tribal House and watch all the festivities. And it's free! Might be something you would be interested in seeing. Its about an hour northeast of my home and we have been many times.

When the Dr checked my leg that was that was exactly where the clot was at. She also knew about my colon problem. There have been other things. When she starts sniffing me I get worried. Animals ok !

When I was young, we had a turning plow hitched to a mule. My dad would go out after he finished and check the dirt for arrow heads. He would find 10-20 every year. He kept the in a Cedar box. However, not long after he passed away, someone broke into our home when everyone was at work, and stole them, along with a lot of other stuff. This broke my heart, because I was the oldest child and he told me they would be my responsibility to protect when he was gone. My great- grandmother was Cherokee and she married my great-grandfather who was Irish, living on a reservation close to where she was after his family came to America. It still breaks my heart that someone stole the things in our home to sell, which meant more to us than money.

My cat always knows when his brothers spirit is around.....he will see him and play the same types of games when CeCe was still in our world. Just a grasshopper !!!!!! Look up locusts it's different and only come every seven years for the majority. I'm in the very tip of the northern panhandlers of West Virginia and I remember when I was around 8 years old we had a locusts year that year. My class was outside across the parking lit in another building. The locusts were thick that year. Flying everywhere and on everything just super thick. The noise they make is so loud. Most of us kids were so scared of them. I still get shivers just thinking about them. I never saw them that thick again
