Thunder Tiger Eb4 S2 Nitro

Күн бұрынThis is a Thunder Tiger Eb4 S2 Nitro Car. A few weeks ago Flat out Jim was given three nitro cars. They were all in three boxes and in a poor state of repair. A couple of days ago Jim brought them to my house. I thought he was bringing them for me to have a look at with him. To my pleasant surprise Jim gave all three cars to me. After having a quick look at them, I decided that this one seemed to be in the better condition. However it was really dirty and grubby. I gave it a good clean to start with and then began to have a closer look. It only took a couple of hours work before I had the engine started up. Then another few hours giving it a bit of tender loving care. And here is the end product. If anyone knows anything about this model them please leave me a comment and let me know. Thanks buddy. When he told me he had been given 3 cars i was sooooo jealous lol. I was eager to help him repair then incase he gave me one ha. But when he then gave them all to me i was so shocked and excited Mark. It hasnt taken me to much time to get going and cleaned up. Its going for a little run very soon. The third car is a little hpi nitro drift csr. Not really had a proper look at it yet but first quick impressions is thst it shouldnt need to much work. Fingers crossed

I got my stampede going on the 7 cell nimh battery by the way, it takes about 5 mins of a series of events but it works at no extra cost now 😂, I hope to get some lipos and a lipo charger at Christmas or around then

@@tiborvon yeah I did I paid £110 for it and it came with loads of fuel and spares all it needed was a controller but I have a nice flysky what I'm going to use with it....yes it's an old one but it's in really nice condition

Tibor Von- THAT'S REALLY AWESOME😎👍👍 I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SAVE TO GET A FAST CAR/TRUCK LOOOVVVEEEE MY CRAWLER BUT AS YOU CAN TELL FROM THE HOMERUN CHALLENGE... VERY SLOW😂😂😂😂 and there's a field across from my house and another at the local park I'm looking forward to speed blasting the heck out of my little 1/16 Just don't have the clearance😂😂😂😂😂 so I can't decide if I want fast or just better tires for Hummer or fix up my buggy(the buggy is sentimental one could say...bc my Mom got it and the other Gas car for me about two months before she passed and I was really short on $ for bills and had to sale the drift car so I REALLY don't wanna destroy the buggy or anything)... But I REALLY enjoy making the crawling videos tho so all in all VERY HAPPY

I would keep the sentimental car as a shelf queen. It’s something that can never be replaced buddy. I love crawling the best but it makes a nice change to bash every now and again too. I think all different types of Rc are fun for different reasons. That’s why I like to have different types in my collection. I have been quite lucky that I have had an awful lot of extra work over the last couple of years and that’s the reason I am able to buy so many cars. I think you should just save when you can and then buy when you have enough cash. But I would definitely look after the sentimental one buddy

Tibor Von-Thank You Brother I agree. (I had made a few videos of it as i learned about gas ..always was an electric rc guy) The only damage it has suffered at all was from the first "OPEN IT UP" field run it jumped the road and flipped slightly cracking the rear shock tower((fixed that))... (didn't know how to fail safe set the break at that time and it was wide open and lost connection due to me not even knowing the battery connector was a little corroded causing a short).... and then the other time I was drifting it and blew out the rear tire(of course none of that was on film as I was just really starting to film at all at that point in time)...but since then have only started once.

Great looking nitro buggy! I still got my Team Associated RC8.2 Factory Team with the O.S. Speed 21 XZ B engine. A pretty fast and durable rig :)

I like playing with a nitro every now and again just for a change from battery. I like the different types of rc because they are all good for different reasons you should take your nitro out for a run and load a video of it buddy would like to see

Nice old buggy ! It's looking very good, this châssis look like the xx4-x3 chassi serie ( eb4-g3, mt4g3, st4-g3, eb4-s3, mt4-g5 etc) normal because it's a thunder Tiger eb4 châssis 😊😊 nice vid bro

I know nothing about this buggy. I dont think its a popular brand here in the uk. Havnt really heard much about them. But it helps to have all those spare parts. Am really happy with it and made up that Jim gave them to me.

It was very nice of him to give me these cars and totally unexpected Derek. I have really enjoyed repairing it and getting it running. I am going to take it out for a quick run very soon. Jim is like me. We dont drink. But i will repay him by fixing his cars in the man cave lol

I think you have done a fantastic job with the Tiger. I have no idea about nitro/petrol RC's, and wouldn't have a clue what to do ..... "Blockbuster" Bwahaha, that just popped into my head when I was typing the sentence : )) I think I could do the Fairy Liquid bit, but that's it lol. Is the other one a runner. I read in the comments that it's a drifter. That sounds cool. I have never tried drifting, and never seen a nitro one before. Have you still got the Vaterra V100s Gti-R. That's a nice looking RC. Be good to see it again : ))

Ha the fairy liquid bit. Made me lol. Can just picture you with yellow merry golds on lolol. The little drifter is a hpi one. Its small tenth scale were most nitro are eighth. I havnt had a proper look yet but it doesnt look like it will need much time i dont think. The shell is a bit gone but i will get a new one if it runs. I will save it for in a few weeks time or so before starting it. Theres a bag of wheels with it too. Yes. I still have the gti-r . Trying to fit everything in is the problem lol. And the crew dont have drift cars so when we go out we tend to do off road things. But i will get out with it at some point. I have 2 drift cars. Technicslly i have the stratos that can be a drift car when i eventually put a battery in it and this nitro is a drift csr. So i csn borrow the csrs to the crew and make a video. But its the time thing lol

I look epic with my Marigolds on mate. Quite the "New Man" lol. Time definitely is an issue, and also as our collections get bigger finding time to run all the RC's gets difficult too. I wanted my Carisma M40DT Desert Truck so much, and waited nearly 6 months for it to come back in stock and then be delivered. That was in September 2017 and that's the only time I have run it ! I have loads of other RC's I have bought and haven't even used yet, except once in the garden to make sure they run. Sometimes I wish I had just one crawler, and one basher and lots of different bodies for them. : ))

I have exactly the same car but the pro version with orange wheels and shell mine had the jaguar controller with crystal in so I swapped it out for my cheapo himoto one 2.4mhz I need another one to be honest but the tank is bust on mine I tried epoxy on it and gorilla glue but it still leaking like crazy so I'm off road until I get another. They go well to be honest pretty quick and I've got a himoto subaru 2 speed I've just got a new pull start for it just need get round to fitting it there the only 2 I have at the minute I'm saving to get a petrol 5th scale

Hello dude. Unfortunately i do not know of any up grades. I actually had this car given to me. But I was also given a second buggy too which had a bit of damage so i stripped it all down and stored the parts, so hopefully if i break anything then i might have the spare for it. Nitro isn’t something that i run often to be honest so it gets very little use.

How do I get the shocks off? The bottom pins?

On mine, there is a little grub screw on the bottom plastic arms. If you undo it then the pin will pull out

Ah right. I have a second one in pieces as a spare. I think it had had a front end crash but i cant really remember probably. I will have a look at the box of spares and see if i have one.
