Its Over. Thunder strategy of doubling and tripling kyrie and force role players to score was awful. They shot themselves in the foot because they set up a situation where they lost to Mavs with Ky/Luka not needing to score. Mavs knew Sga needs fouls so they essentially said they will not touch Sga and give him free shots vs getting in foul trouble and getting out of rhythm this is why Chet PnR won't work because Mavs are not doubling Sga not giving him contact so there is no reason for him to pass out of it. Also Kyrie is 13-0 in close out games. The worst thing that could happen to OKC is that Kyrie has been efficient except 1 game scoring low while making the correct reads. This shows that 1 they cant actually stop kyrie and 2 the role players are much better then OKC thought. You also have to realize that Kyrie is a tough shot maker and if the role players were not hitting he would still make them pay for it. So if Okc cant beat a Mavs team where Kyrie doesn't need to score it means they never had a shot to win. Game 4 win by Okc was more Mavs losing it then Okc winning it. I think the immaturity of the okc players show so much. They Bark after every win then all worse sun glasses at the press conference. That is a sign of a team that is not aware of the moment, doesn't understand the level of competition the are playing, over valuing themselves as players, and stupidly giving the other team more fuel. Before Game 3 Kyrie made a speech in the huddle they know OKC isn't on their level and they are completely focused on winning a chip. Okc made the same mistake Memphis did being young thinking they are just better being rowdy because they feed off of confidence thinking this is easy and how it will always be. These opportunities dont come often, you might never be 1 seed again, 1 injury next year changes everything, Other teams figure you out, You are not as good as you tell yourselves. Even if you had beat the Mavs there is no indication you can compete with Denver or Celtics. Denver and Twolves handed you the 1 seed by resting players while OKC didnt rest. 7/8 seed both wanted to play OKC over Denver for a reason. Okc is the most immature team left in the playoffs and lost to the mavs by nothing more then high iq play.
