*IMPORTANT UPDATE 05/28/2023: This siren was removed and was taken to the repair shop for repairs to the siren. The chopper motor is dead. County plans to reinstall this siren by spring 2024. I repeat, this siren will be reinstalled next year.*
Recorded on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021. This is a weekly fire/tornado siren test of the Newberry County Fire/Tornado Siren System. This siren was tested every Saturday at noon (now tested at the last Saturday of every month at noon). This siren was FIXED! I thought I was never gonna hear this siren in hi-lo anymore. Thanks to firefighters, emergency management, and siren maintenance for making this repair happen! Solenoid was fixed about a month ago. I tried to record this siren a month ago and siren failed due to radio failure. I also met up with SouthCarolinaSirens for this and he took a drone video for me. This siren is located in Silverstreet, SC at Silverstreet VFD.
