I liked how the beta canon apocryphal material took its own spin on the Eugenics Wars by making them more clandestine, considering there were no such conflicts in our actual 1990s.

Fun fact (from the Wikipedia article on "Eugenics"): "In the decades after World War II, the term "eugenics" had taken on a negative connotation and as a result, the use of it became increasingly unpopular within the scientific community. Many organizations and journals that had their origins in the eugenics movement began to distance themselves from the philosophy which spawned it, as when Eugenics Quarterly was renamed Social Biology in 1969."

I have thought that a series based on The Eugenics War would be pretty good. And it wouldn’t be so much a prequel, it would just be about the war and stop way before first contact. And no characters would be connected to other Star Trek characters. So no Captain Archer’s grandfather.

Yhe Eugenics War would make for a fun show...but first we need to get people who can actually WRITE a decent script. Until then, it's best left alone. I like that there was some good out of the Eugenics Wat. Besides Bashir, we have the TAS Guy (my spelling is horrible enough in English). He may have been wrong in his predictions, but he really was trying to help instead of dominate.

According to Memory Alpha, it is actor Michael Keenan in the DS9 episode "Statistical Probabilities". The name of Dennis Farina is not found in Memory Alpha's list of actors who have appeared in Star Trek.
