What a great way to do Somerset Patchwork by machine. I’ve made lots of Christmas cards using this style of patchwork and they always look great. The only problem, with using this style of patchwork for anything bigger than a pillow, is the weight and thickness of all the folded fabric.

I love my Kai scissors and my Gingher scissors, both are reliably sharp and can cut though many fabric layers. The main thing with any fabric scissors is to only use them for fabric, or they will dull quickly.
