This is the first THX trailer for Tex the THX mascot who was made by Pixar and voiced by former Pixar employee John Lassiter and THX still uses him as a background character in a setting or interacting with a nother robot.

It wouldve been nice if they made a variant for South Park bigger longer and uncut on dvd where the Logo breaks down and Kenny comes in to fix it.

No, it debuted in the theatrical release of Independence Day.
