Tiesto is one of the best, if not a f*cking legend to Trance music, he brought us such tracks/remixes like Delirium Silence, Suburban Train, he also worked with Ferry Corsten. Only problem, money, fame went to his head, should of stuck with it being a passion. People now look at him as being the DJ behind Jackie Chan which sounds..........................you tell me, compare the difference. Tiesto isn't the same Tiesto anymore, but good on him, he's made his money by selling out what he was passionate about. But I will always remember the true Tiesto.

@Harry Baals I've known for years he worked with a guy called Dennis Waakop who sat in the chair and Tiesto gave him directions. That's what a record producer does. But what Tiesto did was create the sounds, a loop of 8 bars, and then passed them on and then they worked from there.

I used to listen to his music all the time his sound was so unique unlike any other DJ/Producer in the world and now he just does that mainstream EDC stuff. Songs like Lethal Industry, Dance 4 life, Love comes again, Traffic, Adagio for strings, Hes a pirate, Flight 643, Just be, As the rush comes, Rain down on me, that was the Unique sound that made him and that's the sound i loved. As starstruck as i would be if i ever met him i would definitely tell him that.

When I lost respect for this dude is when I found out he didn't produce one of his biggest remixes, "Silence". Article right off Beatport with the producer saying yes I wrote all of Tiesto's first big hits. Hate how some people can't just admit they are strictly a DJ. If you don't write your own music don't claim to be a producer. Now John Christian writes all his music...

@@zerorootx there is a difference between a producer and a writer, as a DJ, Tiesto produced that track and mixed the samples created/written by John Christian, or by other ghost writers. By doing this he is therefore the producer.

De B actually no. he can be classified as an executive producer, one who says if it's good or not. he did not do any production/writing work. he might've been in the studio and said that sample sounds good or that melody is good. that's about it.

A lot of my favourite producers started out amazing and ended up bland. Astrix, Fatali, Infected. This man also. Not complaining, just noticing this weird trend and wondering why. I guess getting too big to see the forest for the trees.

adriano wallin by the sound of it, he managed to hook up with a well known/famous DJ in the area/country and went around with them, probably began working with them and gained popularity doing do and then went on from there

we made him tiesto back when he was doing real trance music. Later, he found out, American kids and new generation z doesn't give a crap about quality. He made his name with trance. He sold his real fans.

Tiesto is and was always very open of how he makes the music. he always talks about his band who helps him and Dennis Waakop Rijers was or is his main guy. He is honest, he knows what music he wants but cant make it himself but still he manges to bring out good tracks.
