Hi. It's a great pleating video for beginners. Amazing. I had one suggestion about using pins on tha saree. Since most of us have sarees from our mother's or grandmother's and even previous generations handed to us, so ensuring the maintenance of the saree is important. Repeatedly using pins leave undeniable damage on certain parts of the saree. An alternative to pins (atleast while prepping) can be using cloth pegs.

I did everything according to the video and it turned out to be great. Very easy to drape after you prepare everything. Just took 2 minutes. Everybody complimented me for wearing Saree so beautifully. I am so thankful. It made me love Saree even more and made it more easy to wear without much worries.

How do u know that the last pleat will end up having the same width as the rest of the pleats. How can we ensure that in the fold n pleat method that you are showing here ?? Till u have pressed and pinned the top pleats and then you reach the last pleat. What if its not the same width

I’d adjust the second last pleat so that the last pleat is the width you want. So take an extra wide second last pleat or if it’s too much fabric, add another pleat. The secret is to remember that all pleats don’t have to be the same width!

Hi Tia, It is lovely to see you wear the saree...make it look easy...but everytime you show silk saree...or satin...can you make a video with a chiffon or georgette saree...also can u show which iron u use with what setting....as I almost ruined my saree....if I set on low...the chiffon saree would not get ironed...n a bit high...almost ruined...also tried high setting and having a barrier between saree n iron...still not good enough...please advice. Sorry for a long comment. Thanks

My mom tells me to get chiffon sarees ironed from the dry cleaners..they do some stretch ironing thing..rest all can be done at home.

You might have to iron certain parts of the saree before you drape it in case there are some fold lines showing.

Now I m wondering how my mother used to have that amazing pleats without my iron and now I got big respect for the way she carried saree so beautifully.. at this age of 29 I never dared to wear sareeas I m always under-confidence that it will look bad.. and now I know.. it don’t look bad,it’s just my mother was wearing so perfect that I can never match her.. I m all good.. yes I m going to buy saree today
