Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride is a lot better than the old Splash Moutain ride because the scenery are amazing.

One of my issues with this ride is they really worked so hard to make these animatronics interact with you and in doing so they end up looking so ... Animatronic. Like most of the successful Disney rides do not allow the characters to break the fourth wall. The one exception in the modern series is Lieutenant Bek who interacts with you but you're not riding past him while he does it. He's timed to interact with you in a more controlled setting. On this ride Tiana isn't in the middle of doing something... It's not like we're riding in to find her reading a book or something and she suddenly looks up to notice us. It's more like she's literally standing there doing nothing and then when we ride past her she activates. This causes an issue when you can see the log in front of you getting the same interaction. It starts to feel artificial and ingenuine. The last scene works well because we're entering a scene late and leaving early rather than some of these other lifts where we're entering a scene that only seems to exist when we enter it. Those scenes come off souless because it feels like they underestimate the children and adults this is made for enough to fill in the blanks with their own imaginations.

I would argue the ride looks even better at night. The lighting really makes the bayou scenery pop. Plus, it kind of helps the story. Creates less of a disconnect between the exterior and interior sections. And with the fireworks going on, it kind of implies the party's already in the process of starting. Adding a sense of urgency to the search for a band. Like Louis left it till the last minute so he and Tiana enlist the riders' help to speed things along. Yeah, I get that the narrative's the weakest element on this ride. But still, it's something.

Sooner or later when the ride opens this backlash that’s going on will eventually go away cause already this ride got a lot of hate and the reason why splash Mountain closed is because it was so offensive and people were complaining and that’s why this ride will be a lot less offensive
