The LTE 4G edition of the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra is finally here, released November 2021, not just the GPS version. Model number P355. In this video I unbox it, set it up (forgive me, its my first smartwatch), and get it briefly working on O2 UK rather than Vodafone. Google Wear OS had better ideas though...
I wanted a Samsung Galaxy Wear 4 Classic to pair with my Samsung Galaxy Tab but Samsung BLOCK this pairing setup and force you to use a smartphone.

Hi Ted. Just one question - Is the LTE version already available? I haven't see ticwatch pro 3 ultra esim version on the mobvoi homepage.

Yep you can get it on Amazon UK at the moment. Its the one without "GPS" in the name 😀

I think there will be a US version coming out. The local versions appear to be locked to specific networks so I'd wait for the Verizon (or something) version :-)

Hi, I’m going to buy this watch but I need some Info about the eSim. I’m on EE PAYG how would I setup the eSim? You mentioned the watch only works with Vodafone?

Yes, the Wear OS app only lets you set up an esim if your phone SIM is Vodafone and then gets upset if the esim you scan isn't also Vodafone. It's a software lock but no idea how to get around it

No, sadly the only way to get an eSim that works with this in the UK is a contract with Vodafone. PAYG eSims are blocked as they are not on Vodafone, even if you can trick it into installing. Vodafone do a 6 GBP a month contract that will do an eSim but I don't want a contract.

@@TedsTech thanks for the info. Bit cheeky that they don't allow your current plan on the watch.. does the 6 GBP give the watch the same sim plan? Thanks in advance.

if you have a contract with Vodafone for your phone already, you can add "OneNumber" eSim to your plan for a few quid a month. However if you have a PAYG Vodafone plan for your phone, you can't get this, the only option is a new SIM contract for Vodafone, of which they have a hidden plan for about 6 quid (search for "cheap vodafone") which will do eSIM. If you are on Voxi, the Vodafone MVNO you are out of luck too. You have to had a Vodafone SIM in your phone/tablet for even the option to register the eSIm to show up in the Wear OS app. All a bit pants really.

Yes if you are in an expensive Vodafone contract, they'll do a "OneNumber" plan for you.

Can you please try to activate the esim from mobvoi app? U can scan the barcode

Mobvoi app doesn't support setting up the eSIM on this watch. You have to use Wear OS app, which does not give the option unless you are on Vodafone or VOXI in the UK.

You can only connect to Vodaphone and not any other e-sim compatible service providers worldwide?

Seems that way. There is some wierd geoblocking in the Wear app

@@TedsTech that's so bad. Would like to stay with ticwatch ecosystem instead of switching to Apple or Samsung. Still awaiting the new ticwatch with the new Snapdragon chip

Nope. Vodafone only in UK.

@@TedsTech i tried to install one but its not working yet the tic watch pro 3 ultra GPS apparently has it. I think Mobvoi removed this feature of the magnetic sensor. I tried to download a compass app but says not installed. Similar problem with another app.

Ok, found the solution. Once u scan the bar code, the esim is registered. But to get it activated it takes min of 5 upto 30 mins. I say, after the scan is successful. Restart the watch. And wait for 20 mins. Mine worked flawless. Good luck

@@TedsTech telstra. Note once u scan esim. You should never open wear os app again. Else it will delete the esim profile
