I agree completely with you analysis. May be one last comparison can be added : these two watches have the same RAM memory size : 512 MB and 4 GB of storage with a comparable 2 core 32 bit CPU.

This is by far the best comparison video that I have seen. I have Stratos as it just became available in my country. Ticwatch is still being imported and very expensive

i want all the features of the Amazfit stratos has with the features of the ticwatch.. the black carbon fiber and look of the amazif fit is what i like the most.

I'm tempted by the Ticwatch Pro but those leather/silicone bands just don't do it for me. If I were to buy one I'd probably be forced to buy a dedicated silicone sports band and a metal dress strap. I'm still expecting the big brands like Huawei, Samsung, etc in the smart watch space to launch a load of new products this winter so the best move might be to hold up and see what is available

I agree with your conclusion, these 2 watches are excellent... The hardware is very similar. The software should be better optimized on the Amazfit since the OS is proprietary. In comparison, Android Wear on the Ticwatch should offer a wide range of applications making this watch a Smartwatch.

My two cents: I have amazfit startos. Using different apps on it, most of all Watch Droid Assistant which let's you answer all notification with quick answers, keyboard or fast response. This app alone puts amazfit 2 in range of the best smartwatch as it's fitness features are off the hook, and given app gives you that smartwatch functionality. Also on Stratos, with gps off, and continues heart rate off, i get 5-7 days battery life due to reflective screen on the watch. And all in all my personal preference due to looks of Startos. Thanks :)

The ceramic bezel on the Stratos resists scratches much better than the metal bezel of the TicWatch Pro

I have Amazfit stratos back light problems, it turns on even when it is turned off, raise to light up function=off, but it lights up in random times and it is driving me nuts, only I have this problem? sorry for grammar..

Hey Donavon, great review brother. I'm really in between this two. I'm a surfer so stratos has an advantadge. But have an electric skate, and though it is able to install apk apps i don't know if i can install the (skate) onewheel apk, because some apps just don't work. Do you know if it that app works on stratos? Thankz brother.

I wouldn't recommend Amazfit Stratos. After the last update the notifications doesn't always show up and the step-counter is very inaccurate

After waiting two months to get something from Gearbest, and after reading hundreds of complaint posts about them on the net, I finally got my item and swore I'd never order anything from Gearbest again... a very sketchy operation. Forever it just sat in a bin however in their operation in the Netherlands which I swore was run out of somebody's home.

Had the Amazfit.. at times its VERY hard to see..

Had my Amazfit Stratos about a month now. Few little quirks but they seem to be trying to improve it with updates. GPS is just as accurate as my phone easily get 4+ days out of the battery with a bit of GPS and music use. One down side with the music is that you can't select different albums it's just all grouped together so your better to just add a few different workout mixes instead

Ticwatch band is a Mullet band. Business on the front, party in the back.

Is the screen on the amazfit tempered glass or sapphire, I've been reading conflicting info. The original amazfit pace had gorilla glass, very durable. Also, did you actually pair to your phone? The amazfit app had issues with android oreo and I'm wondering if it got sorted. Specifically the contacts weren't being accessed properly so for incoming calls the watch would not display the name of the caller, only the phone number, making it kind of useless. Worked fine on older versions of android. Small correction, the amazfit is water-proof not water resistant, there's a difference. The amazfit can actually be used diving up to 50M, and the three buttons are used to navigate under water when the touch screen won't work.

Can you load golf apps

If the price is an issue, instead of the stratos, get the amazfit Pace around $99-$120 Amazon, gearbest, Ebay etc. Same features. I own a Pace, Gear S 2, Pebble steel, LG G watch, Moto360 1st Gen but I'm totally loving my Ticwatch Pro. Longest battery life is 2 and 1/2 day (i use the timer,stopwatch and alarm quite often- MedLab Job) love the transflective display on my Amazfit, longest battery life with same use is 4 to 6 days. The Pebble steel can last more than a week. Gear S2 maximum 36 to 40 hours on light use, 20 hrs in my routine use. Love the comparison video for a smartwatch enthusiast like me!

I owned the 1st generation Ticwatch, it broke down after a month or so (I may b unlucky) but unlucky or not, the seller and/or the maker is irresponsible.... I've sent the watch back to China for warranty at my own cost and it has been 3 months and the seller is still dragging its feet on it. I truly wonder if my watch will ever be return to me.... Buy a Ticwatch with no warranty? Good luck!

Don't compare these both amazfit is a multispectral watch and tic. Watch is an android Wear watch so these both are good in their fields i would prefer amazfit pace or amazfit stratos rather as tic watch because it is costly

Mobvoi should get rid of the LCD it ruins the AMOLED display.

the only reason why i don't like the amazfit is due to it's display. imo it gets too dark sometimes and not a huge fan of it
