Not the best lap ever of Winton for the Colt (that was JC aka Brake_blip_shift here: • Ralliart Colt at Winto... ) and not even the best lap of the day (that was 1:45.89 and very overexposed on the GoPro). The temperature on the day, 35°C / 95°F, was enough to reduce both power, and also grip - the A052s start losing grip over 60°C. Enough with the excuses though - I just need to be quicker!
It was however a tidy lap, and temperature notwithstanding, the car behaved itself.
Bonus story: On the way home from Winton though there was a regional blackout due to storms in the area I was driving home through. As a consequence I got stuck at the service station waiting for power to be restored so I could fill up with fuel because I did not have enough fuel to go back or forward to the next working service station (~40km each direction). It took 7 hours for power to be restored. Long day.
