Do you know how to tie a square knot or flat knot? Feeling frustrated with these craft ribbons? Let me show you 5 easy ways to make these.
I hope that today's video helped you understand the concept of flat knots and square knots. As I said, ribbon is very forgiving but take your time and tell the ribbon where you want it to go.

Thank you for these tips. I especially love the heat tool tip. I used to live in Muskogee, and could not keep my bows on the cardstock. Now, I'm in Missouri, and it gets pretty humid here, too. I think of where the cards are being sent to, also. I will definitely try this❣

I watched how you tied the square knot but that's not how I remember tying on in Girl Scouts. Of course, that was with a neckerchief maybe it's different with ribbon. I thought it was "right over left, left over right" and the ends hung down in front. Maybe things have changed since then. Thank you for all the good ideas here. Will keep watching .

Connie, there is a product in the sewing department called Fray-Check that my ex mother in law used in her sewing to keep material from fraying. There some others out there as well on Amazon. Just thought this might be a tip to try to stop our beautiful ribbon from fraying. It dries clear and slightly stiff.
