Its more likely to get the cheap tavern spells that give you extra mana next turn so you can cycle them a lot. Also easier to triple your elementals in the end.

Both, it's hysteria and his niche is doing this stuff but staying low gives you a lot of cheap economy spells, probably optimal to stay on 2 a lot and then level for stuff like wildfire and scam cards.

Game feels much better with no Leroy, though Mrrghoul can still be frustrating. Maybe if it wasn’t a type it would feel better. (Or remove it)
