I know this video is a little older but i think youve done a really great job. I personally would put gloin bottom s tier and King dain into solid B tier. my reasoning for this would be that dwarfen gameplay is centered more around units wich makes an early hero start less important overall. brand just being too good of a range option and one of the best heroes in the game as well as a good counter for difficult early matchups for dwarfs. That for brand was played alot although the rest of dwarfen heroes are meant for midgame. Eomer in my opinion doesnt deserve an s tier because he was ONLY played for econ whereas azogh is actually a good fighter and more useful overall. Hed still be top A though as econ was definitely keeping men of the west kinda alive in competitive play. One could debate to put the flying nazgul to top of B tier because mordor has really good early econ wich makes them get them faster but on their own i think youre spoton

Even as i play casually, i find him fragile / suicidal. He hasn't ton of health or armor, so goes down quickly. Other than that, i like him a lot, mainly for is lvl 10 summon power, though Leadership and Heal are also powerful.

give them bonus xp/dmg ability, summon army, heal, horse or bow/sword swith and then for points spam them with hp and armor and put remaining in dmg

Max damage then vision, give them a bow, max arrow damage powers, use as a long range glass cannon.

Sharku is pretty tanky against everything but pikes, avoid fighting pikes and try to harass the resource buildings to get exp for sharku. Once he is level 7 and has man eater available, he is a monstet

Gimli overall or the Witch King (for non-hero battles) probably. Also Lurtz because of the huge advantage in the early game, later he becomes weaker.

But he is very expensive for a weak eco faction like elves. Elves have the worst eco out of all factions in the game and will struggle most of the time to collect this much resources

he is trash because his fire rate is too slow and does no damage, takes forever to level. a battalion of archer is better than him. If you need leadership. use Aragorn or Theoden. I agree with tier list but I would switch Wormtogue with Arwen and Elrond with Saruman. Those two only get used because Isengard has a lot of resources, not because they're strong.

@@dodang_9147 i cant understand what you mean by slow leveling. usually he is backing up with the archers and they share xp. also a aragorn or theoden wont give leadership to the archers. idk, if i use heroes for gondor then i always pick faramir and boromir cause of the leadership, the horn and the experiance boost for archers.

@@deformiertergolfball4847 his low attackspeed makes it hard to gain exp on him and he is functionally not worth the population or gold cost. your better off just buying more archers than buying him. I would rather have two rangers then recruit faramir. he is that bad. Theoden is not a good melee unit so often you can just put him in the back to give leadership. i think he has that skill that grants exp to the units, so he can level your archer to 5 passively and give leadership to them. Theoden is good for horseman rushes but your not always doing that. so he can be throw away unit that grants leadership and passive exp by standing in the back when your not using horseman rushes. I do not generally buy heroes but if I do buy them, for gondor, It would be boromir(budget aragorn), theoden, aragorn and gandalf if you have unlimited money. aragorn and theoden are probably most prefered. boromir is ok but he is somewhat of gimmick flank character where you put him in front and ambush people with his horn when having a range unit battalion in front of him. gandalf is good because his spells are like summoner-powers that clear units for you, but he is so expensive that it takes long time for his abilities to pay-off in gold income, as a result, he is almost never worth it unless your playing some super long game but at level 10, his word of power can wipe entire armies which is a lot of -gold for your enemy. Getting him to level 10 is different story altogether though. he is like ultra-late game investment that you rarely get to use fully.

​@@dodang_9147 but if you say theoden is not good in attacking ( usually he isnt good in surviving too ) and then say faramir isnt good at leveling cause he is not good in attacking ( and also not in surviving ) but faramir is able to attack from range while theoden is not and then you would place theoden rather then faramir even tho faramir will level up faster due to his own range kills + the shared ranger/archer xp which is a lot. makes littarly no sence to me i can agree on the point with gandalf. usually i dont play heroes but if i go with them i love boromir up front with his horn and leadership which basicly lets your pretty weak gondor melee units run over enemys like lawnmowers as i said i take faramir in the back cause he at least can do something + leadership. theoden is a hero which i only pick in the rare occasion that i try to play with cavalery everything else is just way to expensive. if it has to go fast at least. my favourite is to only rely on units and give 0 fucks about heros, have units qued up and enough money to give them their upgrades.

@@deformiertergolfball4847 theoden is good because he has level 1 leadership. he can reinforce your calvery rushes on enemies resources. so for example you can send gondor horseman on farm's with theoden and his leadership will make you kill farms. if you ever played vs AI and how AI rushes your farms, Theoden is good at rush-farming strategies. Because of his leadership 1, he levels faster just by existing near army. When he is hurt and retreating, you can have theoden stand behind archers and give free leadership to the archers as he heals up. The other gondor heroes, they need level up for leadership to occur. Theoden does not need to level up. he just stands there for free damage bonus. in late game, he has a skill where he can give exp to your units, so all your archers can just be level 5. Really only hero you should ever buy besides Theoden is Aragorn. Aragorn is strong siege unit. he can fight almost any hero. he has self-heal, he has run-away move. his level 10 is free summoner spell to destroy armies. His only drawback is that he is expensive but if you get a gold lead ahead of your opponent, buying Aragorn when enemy has no heroes is really strong. If he gets to enemy base and has arm mastery, he can siege productive buildings. Gondor can buy heroes in games if they can get level 3 marketplace and buy the farming productive tech. gondor is rushdown faction but the units for gondor are not that strong. They play like Goblins, but Goblins are better at rushdown because goblin units such as Troll maruders and Troll Swordsman are much better melee units and the goblin do not need to buy marketplace. They get Scavenger ability for free, so they are naturally better at getting income compare Gondor.

yh i think so too. i think its one of the most disgusting heroes to fight. decent hp, decent dps, annoying abilitys like tunnel or the screech to fear enemys. idk if it was in vanilla or a mod but as i remember it was also able to run over enemy units like cavalery.

lol no. i basicly play completley without heroes, since most of the time they are just garbage imo. most of the time i just create my own hero only with leadership for low cost and thats it. i have had so many matches in the past nearly 20 years and i always relied on a decent mixture of different units instead of heroes. on the other hand i had opponents which went on and spend much money and cp on heroes but in late game they just die like flys. the moment where your opponent for example has the better elven arrows, you can go and forget most heroes, since they are nearly oneshot. i actually think most of the heroes are way to weak. i also nearly completley disagree with this tier list

Elves aren't that op. The mirkwood archers are with the silverthorn arrows but one cavalry unit is enough to take out a whole batallion, they don't even need an upgrade. They deal massive damage, but have super low hp (150) compared to most other units which have 300-400 hp, same cost units of other factions even have 500-600 hp without upgrades. Most cavalry takes those archers below 50% from trample only and after 1 melee hit they die. Spider riders don't even need to hit them, trample alone kills them already. Elves are all about huge damage but they have low hp and are therefore heavily countered by cavalry. Isengart can even spam uruk berserkers and absolutely crush melee elves. Every faction has it's strengths and weaknesses!

Doesn't matter the enemy unit. If it's horse or trolls, the point is that with silverthorn arrows they can't even get close.

They were unfortunately not in the list which was given to me. Power wise they would dominate the list but in competetive games we always disable the ring heroes since they were bugging the game... they are very extension tho

problem is, if they are expensive it can hurt your whole game. like immagine you go and play gimli for example. he has barley any usefull abilitys, costs 3k and dies pretty fast if the opponent focuses him. also he only kills 1 enemy unit at a time, except he uses his jump which has a big cd. he has no leadership, nothing to really crowd controll ( like borromirs horn ), not any supportive abillity for the rest of your army. so now you payed 3k which you could have used for maybe a cheaper hero or unit upgrades, units money management is also strategy

Nah, good for taking out resource buildings and a quick trample through units when a fight is happening. Uncatchable for all cavalry units except goblin spiderlings. Best utilized for crippling the opponents eco, not for hand to hand combat. Pretty good for such a low cost unit.

Thats a major part of the best overall hero. All the expensive guys are more powerful but that doesnt mean they’re best cause they take forever to get. And by that time you can be dead in games like this
