Hidden Paradox she just came back from the dentist and decided thats the sound she wanted. Its not about the words at all, It’s just about the sounds and the beat. It’s kinda like her take on mumble rapping. If you care about voice quality she has other songs but she does play around a lot so she just might not be for you. Also, just so were clear that the statement “music these days sucks” for this voice thing is kind of nonsense... distorting your voice in music is not new, hard rock and metal singers have been doing it for some time now. Sometimes jazz singers do this and Scat definitely tends to incorporate vocal play that express sound that goes with the music but the singers dont focus on words. Every singer doesn’t need lyrics to sing, just listen to the sound. Music is much more enjoyable that way.

I don't think this was backwards. She says in an interview she was inspired after rapping with a mouth numbed at a dentist appointment. Also reversed the song and it makes no sense.

She's not singing backwards LOL. It was a reference track where she was just mumbling the melody, and then would fill in the lyrics later. When she went back to the reference track she liked it the way it was and just left it. Ryan Leslie did the same thing on "Gibberish"
