The main timesave is one-cycling Phoenix, though, which is pretty RNG.

Sorry for the terrible capture quality, I'm using the PS5's native video capture thingy.
Got this down to sub-4 minutes. Of course there are timesaves to be made but for now this is what I've got :) Build is at the end of the video. Some notes below:
It seems like the small cutscenes take around 50-55 seconds, and my bad menuing takes up 10-20 seconds (but in Tactical, time goes slow, so it count against the timer very slowly).
Tifa can finish off Phoenix before Rebirth Flame, but it requires some RNG, where Phoenix uses some ability (the best one is Blazing Onrush) which opens up the typical damage window, but delays Phoenix from actually starting the Rebirth Flame animation. That would probably save around 15-20 seconds.
In theory, you can clump Titan and Bahamut Arisen together when you pressure them, and hit both of them with Fury Cancels/Divekicks. I've only gotten it to happen once in all my attempts though, so I'm not sure if it's feasibly worth going for.
Odin clear speed is mostly RNG--if he uses Vanish early that's ideal, but the time saves here are probably minimal, 5-10 seconds at most.
I think it's probably faster to go for stagger build on Gilgamesh and just do as much damage during the stagger as possible--spamming True Strike and Fury Cancels probably is more optimal as it would boost the damage of the Fury Cancels, but oh well.
This was a very good VR Sephiroth run. If you can pressure him it's easy, though I missed a few easy perfect guards there.
Best possible times combined for each segment with the sicko Titan+Bahamut Arisen double kill setup might be able to get you under three minutes, but the required RNG is too much I think.

Thank you!! Your videos among others were an inspiration to me for sure!! 😃 And yeah Sephiroth is interesting...I feel like he does the melee Shadowy Chains at a much higher frequency when soloing so it kind of becomes a pretty easy parry check, especially for Tifa, who can make him "stumble" pretty easily

Hm...if I use this Tifa build and keep Barret and red with magnify healing on both and manawall on Barret with magic efficiency...it may be very fast. I have not tried this because I have not yet learned the combat ins and outs of Tifa. I will try if my Yuffie darkside Barret and red tank and heal combo fails. Basically I want level 3 chi with unfettered fury and I want to smack things around and then cancel out when she does her powerful move I think that's what's going on

Yea to get to level 3 you need two atb but can enter battle with lvl 2 based on folio and weapon. Once you get level 3 you cancel basic attack into another basic attack. If you hold square she does 2 hits. After the second hit (upper cut), hold square again. Keep spamming. It builds atb crazy quick. Again this cancel only works with unfettered fury lvl3.

It's the Salmon/Stamp Battle Theme from the Rebirth soundtrack, if you search it on Rebirth you should be able to find it!

How do you charge atb that fast? Unfettered fury + immediately pressing R1 after holding the square button or something else?

You have to be at Unfettered Fury, Chi level 3, yup! Holding square will make her do the Whirling Uppercut. At UF Chi level 3, if you hold square again during the uppercut, she will cancel the uppercut into the hadoken move, which is the finishing move of her basic combo string at UF Chi level 3, which leaves that mini Chi Trap. You can cancel the hadoken into another uppercut by holding square, rinse and repeat. Timing is super lenient. Dragon Claws is best for this because of the ATB Charge Rate Up weapon skill, which is why I use that over other weapons. You can also buffer the uppercut by holding square immediately after inputting an ATB command via a shortcut, which is how you can do the Divekick > uppercut > Divekick sequence if you have the ATB (Skill Master/Haste help).

you need to get all of the manuscripts for Tifa her weapon levels to 9 (this applies to all characters, at max weapon level all of their weapons will have 6 materia slots). Getting all of the manuscripts requires beating all of the bosses + side quests on Hard mode

Is it better to finish the game at hard before doing the brutal challenges ?

@@will7thsign Finishing it on hard might not be necessary, but getting the 6 materia slots on your weapons for the characters you want to use might be worthwhile. I personally did the challenges first because I like having Gotterdammerung to run through the fodder/mob fights on Hard Mode, but it's really just preference I think

Do you know what unfettered fury does exactly?

This is a pretty broad question. On a basic level, Unfettered Fury is better for building stagger (increasing the pressure gauge), while Unbridled Strength is better at increasing the damage bonus when an enemy is staggered in addition to having, I think, slightly better damage overall (though that could just be a virtue of her combo string being slightly longer in Unbridled Strength vs Unfettered Fury). Most notably it changes her basic combo string (from square) as well has Unique Ability attacks (from triangle--Omnistrike becomes Omniflurry, Rise and Fall becomes Rage and Fall). Both Unbridled Strength and Unfettered Fury increase her i-frames on her dodge, 6 frames at chi lvl 1 and 10 frames at lvl 2+. For example, the sort of pull back into hadoken motion she does is the final hit of basic attack combo string at Unfettered Fury level 3, she doesn't do that move until she's level 3. Do you have any other specific questions?

@@nepheneethedestroyer is Unfettered fury tied to magic because I’ve only ever seen it been used when Tifa has a magic build. Also if you wouldn’t mind can you tell me why Tifa should have a magic build?

@@SomerandomguySSJ4 Unfettered Fury adds magic damage, which you can see if you fight an enemy that switches between pure magical/physical immunity (one of the ones that is the chapter 10 sidequest I think?) But it doesn't scale off of her magic stat. Mage Tifa is good for certain fights because with ATK-MATK swap you can still get to like 490~ magic attack, which is pretty decent, and she still has her cracked ATB generation, so you can spam -aga spells with high frequenc. -aga spells have really high interrupt/stun values so you can sometimes just juggle certain enemies or bosses and mess them up. Here's an example of her vs. Reno and Rude for example, where she basically just juggles them with Aeroga (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jdZ2hK6Uv6zTeGw.html)

@@nepheneethedestroyer I love how crazy the strats in this game can become. I know -aga spells have great stun and I didn’t even think about how fast Tifa can build ATB to throw them out constantly.
