He sat down with That Shelf to discuss his special connection to the song, his love for Japanese animation, and how he adapted Sara Varon's graphic novel into a love letter to 1980s New York City.

The choice to use September as the main audio piece and theme around love/friendship was such a good choice for this movie.

I have never been so profoundly moved by a movie. Pablo Berger created a masterpiece. This movie completely reduced me to tears. Absolutely beautiful filmmaking.

This is such a deep movie it gives you many ways to interpret it, it cover so many realms that makes it stick to you and your deepest feelings. I absolutely loved it, i already went to see it twice both times i found different meanings

You have to make a second movie for robot dreams they finally have to meet each other. Besides they need to talk.
