Tiffany Young Takes Us Inside Her Massive Tour Closet | HYPEBAE Backstage Pass

4 жыл бұрынNo matter if you’ve been a fan of Tiffany Young since her Girls’ Generation days, or you’ve only become acquainted with her work through her solo music, you’ll probably agree that the pop star has an enviable sense of style. For her 2019 North America tour, 'Magnetic Moon,' the Korean-American singer continues to experiment with her style, with 18 different looks prepared for each of her tour stops including San Francisco, Vancouver, Houston and NYC. Working closely with her stylist Jaclyn Fleurant to construct each outfit, the "Run for Your Life" artist sees fashion as a powerful way to story-tell during her concerts.
Before the tour officially kicked off, we visited Tiffany in LA where she gave us an exclusive look at her enormous tour closet. Watch the video to learn more about the process and inspiration behind putting together her on-the-road looks.

@Sariou Ye ahhh I don't think they meant it that way. They were not referring to the styling itself but rather hoe much they invest in their artist's wardrobe during concerts/performances. SM usually reuses clothes during their tour and are too lazy to give GG a new set of clothes regularly during concert. Tough, I do see successful girlgroups like Blackpink who also reuses the same concert outfits. I'm neutral about this opinion

@Sariou Ye however, it is very nice to see hoe much effort, heart and thought was put into every outfit for every stop of her tour. Her stylist is really sweet 💗 shows how much her company invests on Fany too!! :)

I think in the major difference between American and Korean entertainment agencies is American companies will do everything in their power range to promote the shet out of you whereas Korean agencies will let opportunities completely go amiss and I have no idea why if it’s incompetency or discrimination for their foreign artists or “idols.” Like they treat their Korean idols good but even let’s say American born Korean idols they’re sometimes overlooked in opportunities compared to Native Korean idols. For Japanese idols they’re fairly new to Korean market and so far I haven’t heard much minimalism of them since Japan is a huge market so a lot of Japanese idols are treated fairly good or given opportunities to shine in Japan and domestically if they’re popular and fan favorite. For example the Twice members are all treated well despite differences in nationalities. I won’t speak on other nationalities cause it gives me headache. But yes I do notice Korean companies miss a lot of opportunities for their groups like Bap I’m so mad their company abused them same with East Light and other groups I liked that I felt disbanded too soon due to mismanagement underpayment people plain abuse. I can’t stand it does my head in. With American companies I haven’t heard of any abuse of power since *NSYNC sued their former manager and like Selena manager was arrested for murdering her like the 90s were a crazy time definitely for music industry. Nowadays abuse in American music industry I don’t hear much from probably because no record company wants to be chewed out on social media

I’m really proud of her development not just as an artist but as a woman! In GG’s era, she was a cute girl but now she really is a strong woman, showing all her potential and creativity to the world! So happy for her new era! 💖💖

Her out fits are becoming more risky & scandalous. Plus she seems more confident and has more of a health body. Being in idol in Korea may have launched her career but it also stifled her. Glad she got out.

The English language is in a fairly low tone. So is German. A lot of other languages are higher pitched than English.

If you notice most idols that are bilingual(korean-english) speak like that. They used high pitch(aegyo) voice when speak in korean but switch to normal tone when they speak english.

bokuroo its not “aegyo” voice versus normal voice. different languages incorporate different sounds, which require variances in the pitches and tones created. for instance English requires more air flow and resonance and thus a more open mouth when speaking compared to korean

Yes it sporabbly cause many east asian lamguahes like Japanese, Korean, and Chinese have different placement in the mouth so the inflection and pitch is higher in those languages then deeper and husker like in English. Also many eas5 Asian countries find higher pitched voices for fmelaes more feminine so I think they jsut learn to speak higher in general in those languages but it is mostly due to the placement of the sound in the mouth. When in practice Chinese and Korean my pitch is always higher then when I speak English

Zna Sve my voice was gone at the end of the night and I still get excited just thinking about it. Way smaller and shorter concert than any I’ve ever been to, but performance wise, it was the best and energy level was through the roof.

It's been like more than a year but I just can't believe that we get to see this whole other side of Tiffany. And I don't feel like "omg idek her" bc fashion has ALWAYS been a part of Tiffany and being extra and a perfectionist and a great performer.....this is Tiffany without SM boundaries. An independent and insanely creative woman who knows what she wants and how to go about it. Like...I feel like with SNSD, she was always like this but now it's like we found the last piece of the puzzle.
