I am gonna walk through the process of making a Lonestar Quilt. It will have a variation to it. I am making it 6 colors. And changing things up for a added fun look.

I believe this pattern for the border is called Seminole. I made a wall hanging in Christmas fabrics, (it only comes out once a year), so I know the difficulty factor of what you have created.

Loving the lessons. I live in Puerto Rio for years, and quilting just doesn't seem to catch on here...probably too busy soaking in sunshine.. I am interested in getting a group together especially for 'scraps' quilting. Your work Tiffany is really nice, I enjoy your sessions with your audience.

Don’t rush things as you may undo what was done to help you. It takes a little time and your quilt projects won’t disappear. Just take it easy and try to enjoy your time off after the pain goes away. Follow your Drs orders or you will lengthing your time away from making quilts. Ask me how I know

That is an absolutely stunning quilt, Tiffany! I sat and trimmed a bunch of fabric in to strips and blocks and enjoyed your company! Maybe you can borrow the quilt when you are ready to enter a show; it would definitely be a contender. I hope you have time to go live while making the backing; love to see that. 🥰

The quilt is going to Washington to be enjoyed. I can make another anytime 😆 I have so many ideas in my head for things I could make for shows 😆 I will be showing me making the back. I took today to rest with yet another sinus headache. The crazy weather that is unable to make up its mind I think is getting to me uhggg 😥 Thank you Jill for watching 😊

Color catchers can get at Walmart plus they have generic brand Carbona color grabber box of 30 in the box...

hate purple, and have a pad for my chair, one day I rolled right into the floor as the cushion moved me out of the chair into the floor., I have found the perfect mattress "Necter" most comfortable ever has memory foam inside but soft comfort on the outside

I hope your surgery went well.. I have had 4 on both arms.. I sew and long arm and cut .. I get knots I. My arms.. going on for 15 years..

I don't use starch unless I really need something flat.

I love how you made your Long Star Quilt. I want to make this someday and notice several people mentioned you have written down what you did and added it to your FB but in looking in your FB files I don't see it there. Omg! Not how I pictured it. It's gorgeous. I hope your client loves it. I skipped ahead so I missed the stars but I don't think I'll do one this big. I'd love be to quilt with you someday. My quilt spot needs rearranging. I need carpal tunnel surgery too but putting it off. My hands fall asleep when I bend them for a few minutes. Painful straightening them out. Good luck with that in the future since I am in the future. Your hands will be in a hand brace probably for a couple of weeks so they won't bend. Luckily they come off. What is wrong with your tummy?

I had the one surgery on my right hand now gotta get my left done someday. As far as belly I have many gut issues. One is my intestines are always tangling. And adhear to my gut wallI have Gastrophreisis and Gerd and ibd it sucks.

This one is so pretty! I've always wanted to make a Lonestar quilt but so far haven't. Maybe I'll get the bug again now that I've seen this one. Tiffany, how did the carpal tunnel surgery work for you? I've been putting it off in both hands for years because I had a horrible experience with shoulder surgery and it took me twice as long to recover and during that time my left arm was useless. I'm afraid to go through that again with my hands.

Thanks 😊 Carpel tunnel surgery was good. It felt like it took a while to heal. Definitely can't move your hand like normal for a few weeks. I have a vlog all about it and how I felt during it. I vloged the experience for quilters, since it seems the way we use our tools make carpel tunnel worse.

shoulder surgery is more complicated than carpel tunnel surgery. its better to do carpel tunnel surgery sooner rather than later for best results. everyone i know that has had it was glad they did. best to you and your surgery

I know this tutorial is a year ago but I put my borders on my quilts the exact same way. I have been been making quilts for 30 years and I have never had a problem. You are right just dont stretch anything and you'll be fine. Also it helps when you're pressing your quilt top and not stretching the top due to improper use of the iron. Holly cow on the hot water....what state do you live in?
