Tig Notaro traded in a career in the music biz for one in comedy -- a choice that took an unexpected turn in 2012 when a series of traumatic events culminated in a now-legendary set at Los Angeles nightclub Largo. That performance became Notaro's second comedy album, called LIVE, which was released by the comedian Louis CK last year. Notaro is also a co-host of the weekly podcast "Professor Blastoff." I loved this joke in Drawn. I am loving hearing this longer version. The way she plays the crowd. Wow! Tig has made me laugh through tough times. I am so thankful she is a comedian and so sorry she has been through so much. I hope I can find comedy in the dark and the light times of life.

I always have a few comedians that are my go-to’s, and then I’ll have my new favorite and Tig has been my new favorite the longest! She’s so natural, so intelligent, clever. I love her engaging style. She makes me laugh my head off!!

Oh my god. I did the same thing. Had a growth removed from my scalp in NYC and walked out the hospital with a stent in my hand.

That dentist situation sorta happened to me as a child. I woke up after surgery and got into my mind that I had to find my mother in the waiting room AND that I had to do it without being seen/heard by the other people in the dentist office. So I was crawling around on the floor ducking from empty room to empty room trying not to be caught ... Long story short, when the dental assistant went to bring my mom into the room I was supposed to be in they were shocked to find out that I had escaped! lol! But they quickly found me and let me sleep it off a little while longer, with my mom in the room watching me this time tho. lol

omg, I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Still wiping tears off my face, no sarcasm. This is the first time Tig Notaro made me laugh so hard. I am usually entertained by her stand-up, but it is the level of smiles and maybe a light chuckle here and there, but something about this story AND the delivery just clicked with me.

Bunch of idiots if you know her at all you would know she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the time... While being very ill she did not let that hold her back in life she was still preforming and giving people smile's... Dont be so quick to judge .... Love your work @tignotaro #tignotaro

soapbox central Maybe its more fun if you were there and had had the build-up. Not all of comedy works as separate bits, its just something we've com to expect from the youtube format. But I'd agree that with her minimalistic approach to comedy to risky to do elaborate stuff especially if it drags a bit. She does use that "dragging" tactically sometimes to draw people in and build a very focused attention, but then you have to deliver enough to keep it interesting as well. I think she can be very good, and she tends to get people to underestimate her and then kills - but sometimes - she drags in a less fortunate way, I agree.

Nili Kedar Seems excessive to me. Full narcosis has inherent risks. Why go there when a local anaestethic is sufficient. I have no particular pain tolerance but all of mine were removed like that, painlessly and without trouble.

whynottalklikeapirat Sometimes when you wait until your an adult they fuse to the actual bone and it's extremely painful to remove. They wouldn't remove mine without putting me under so I just opted to leave them in.
