This male tiger name is Mangu. Mangu was one of the dominant male tigers in Tala of Bandhavgarh after the fall of Bamera during 2014-2016. He was sadly last seen in 2019, and most likely gone now. I hope Mangu's sons still survive, and leave offspring.

That sound is called 'chuffing', and it's how a tiger lets others know that they are relaxed and happy. Think a purr, but a thousand times deeper.

I prefer the look of tigers over lions. But I respect lions more because the males are more family orientated than male Tiger's. When I was a kid I always rooted for Tiger's over lions lol, but as I got older I realised lion's are more of a spiritual grounded animal

Tigers rarely fight in the wild and when they do its usually something amounting to a show of force. Since they do not want to risk injury. Whereas injured lions in a coalition or pride can still leech of other lion kills.

Tiger fathers are actually very involved in their cubs lives. They basically travel from family to family, make sure they are safe, say high, maybe get some food, and move on to make sure the other females and cubs in his territory are safe.

I can very confidently say that this is NOT THE FIRST TIME the father has met the cubs. Male tigers are very involved parents as opposed to what people have believed till now.

The males know cubs are around, feces, urine - smells, etc. even without meeting them. And they too, at least the mother, knows this male is around. So meeting ir not, they know the existence of eash other.

If you search for it, you can find the story of the male tiger who raised his 4 cubs after the death of their mother. It happened in India, and it's unlikely to have been the only occurrence in history. It's just the only one that scientists documented.

Telescopic lenses. The ones made today can get close shots like this from a kilometer away. They cost a few hundred thousand dollars too and can even go over $1 million. Keep in mind the "sound" in these documentaries are manufactured, not real. The cameras can't pick up those sounds at that range. Instead, they use pre-recorded sounds and add them in post production to make it feel like the camera was just feet away. That said, some shots are actually very close (i.e. the watering hole shot was likely just feet away from the tiger). These are performed with "trap" cameras, automatic cameras that turn on when they detect movement and begin recording. That shot was likely taken feet away from the tiger. They would have placed the camera there because it was a commonly known visting spot of tigers and they knew they'd catch some video eventually.

@@Hathur They still need to be fairly close for good shots like these. Forests are dense and the trees/vegetation/terrain will hide whatever you’re trying to film if too far away.

Yes indeed, Big cats have a 80% infant mortality rate within the first year. Kiddos to the mom tiger for taking care of them And the dad tiger for protecting the territory from other males 🐅

The males are off working and making sure the females have enough food in the area and other males are kept away from killing their kittens... she does not take care of them 'all on her own'. Male tigers often will provide food for their kittens and the female as well... they are just working 24/7 ensuring their 'kids and wife' have a life of luxury and ease.

There are actually very rare instances of male tigers raising their own cubs if the tigress is incapacitated in some way. Highly unlikely, but not unheard of.

Some famous tigers of Bandhavgarh 1. Charger : The largest tiger of Bandhavgarh upto 2011. He was an absolute machine. Called so for his habbit of charging at elephants 2. Sita(meaning Goddess) : Charger's alpha female. She too was huge. She is the most photographed tigress. 3. Mohini(meaning Enchantress): Daughter of Charger and Sita. Exceptionally beautiful markings, died of accident 4. Bheem(Colossal) : The largest tiger in the park ever 5. Mr. X : None knows where he lives. He has been seen only a few times, along the edges of the forest. He sustains on a diet of cattles, which is why he is huge 6. Mangu : The father in this video. Extremely compassionate. Unfortunately ,he hasn't been seen since 2019

In China there is ( mis) belief that tiger's bones are very useful in treatment of impotency or lack of sexual desire. Thats why the CHINESE POACHERS & THEIR INDIAN COUNTERPARTS , BOTH GREEDY OF MONEY ONLY, SMUGGLE THE BONES TO CHINA . INDIA IS THE LAST HOME OF ROYAL BENGAL TIGER. Both INDIAN & CHINESE GOVERNMENT TAKE COUNTER MEASURES TO CONTROL THE SMUGGLING. But as long as the belief prevails in neighbouring China, there is always threat to this natures most beautiful haunting creature. At least Chinese Government should educate their people or ask them to go for another cheap option for having more sexual pleasure . In India some 3-4k tigers were counted officially in forests reserved for tiger before last 2 years. Some 7-8 years before I heard the news that Indian forest department team detained a supremo of tiger bone smuggling gang & demolished the poacher gang all over India. Eventually there is rise of the tiger counts ,which were about to extinct just like Tasmanian tigers in Australia. BTW White Syberian Tiger & not Royal BENGAL tiger is the biggest cat on the earth.

I think that him walking away was giving her permission to drink from the pool. She probably wouldn’t have with him still sitting there. An animal is vulnerable when it’s drinking.

it's easy to believe, that care, love, family, duty and other emotions, behaviors, even philosophies, evolved long ago at least within the mammal lines david attenborough and the documentary makers' writing is an admirable attempt to bridge humanity with nature. though it must be so easy to be inspired to write such things, since that connection is simply very natural.

15-20% larger than an African lion on average, but also 15-20% faster. Greater brain-to-body-mass ratio, quicker reflexes, greater bone and muscle density, a more advanced memory, longer canines and claws, greater "swipe" striking force, a bite force 46% more powerful on average, and can take down buffalo and bears solo without the need of a pride. Tigers can fight on their back and on both hind legs, where lions have to "tri-pod" stand and swing with one clumsy paw. In the only known (unfortunate) incidents where they have shared enclosures, tigers have routinely beaten up or even killed the lions; in 2011 in a Turkish sanctuary, a small(ish) tiger killed a male lion with a single swipe to the throat, severing his jugular through his mane, disproving the notion that the mane would protect him. Perhaps from other lions, but tigers are much stronger, pound for pound, and have longer, sharper claws. They will kill 3,000 pound gaur and drag them into the brush unaided. The roar of a lion - that territorial "ow!" call that large cats make - is more robust, given they have a larger nasopharynx. Some say you can feel it in your chest a mile away. But the growl of a tiger is truly terrifying, and the one that gets used in Hollywood movies to represent any large cat growl. Scientists can't pinpoint it yet, but it tends to shock the auditory system of creatures in the vicinity, humans included. It throws off the inner ear fluid, temporarily stunning a target. While lion society is absolutely fascinating, and the males in particular lead an horrifically brutal existence, tigers are truly kings of the jungle. Oh, and they actually live in jungles.

Wao! They are so much bigger than Lions, even the cubs. Totally different from Lions as well. Lions are totally social creatures. The male Lion might play rough, and make his majestic presence known, though he'll never hardly dismiss his kids.

@@Gamer3172 If the father didn’t want any male offspring to carry on their blood line, that makes perfect (NO) sense… BTW, if fathers kill all their male offspring, where do the male lions come from to eventually become fathers? 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@suhaib8464 Male lions have to leave the pride at the age of around 3 years. The father or fathers chase them away but don't kill them. Only new males would kill the cups after a take over.
