The tiger scene from Netflix's Original Series Narcos: Mexico, season 2. The story of Mexico's first cartel, and the agents trying to bring down an empire. No high can last forever.

As mentioned earlier in the episode, the tiger Is a symbol of strength and prowess. This scene outlines a key metaphoric juxtaposition; Miguel is fearless and unhinged, yet still feels trapped, just like the tiger in the chains. He cannot live at peace, there’s always internal conflict around the corner within his own organization and, moreover; with the law. Felix had to live as an outlaw, and he has no choice, regardless of all the power and money he obtains, he can’t buy freedom and it haunts him. The instrumentas underscore all the drama and chaos in his life.

And in the end, the tiger is forced to settle down like how Miguel has to settle with what he already has

When you fight and climb to the top of the tree to be free and find you are still trapped and controlled just like the tiger

I used to think that Miguel is the tiger, but now I think the tiger symbolizes the cartel - when it is tied up and under the watchful gaze of Miguel it behaves, but if it were set free or Miguel turned the other way, its fury will be unleashed. They even mention earlier in the episode that a tiger attacks when your back is turned to it.

Heavy is the Head that Wears the Crown

Can you breakdown that quote for me?
@aliquin94 жыл бұрын
@@carlosmendoza1356 Most Definitely. It's a Shakespeare quote that means That Those charged with major responsibility carry a heavy burden that makes it difficult for them to relax. I feel this scene captures that very feeling. Felix just celebrated his Birthday with a huge party but hes been up all night and can't sleep or relax. That look on his face at the end just shows how he has the weight and all the responsibility to keep his Empire together all meanwhile he's attacked on all sides

@@carlosmendoza1356 The actual quote is "uneasy is the head that wears a crown" from Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 2. In the context of the play, the King of England is complaining about his inability to sleep as another rebellion against him approaches. He notes that ordinary people without any cares can sleep easily, but a king has responsibility for all that happens, his power is always under threat from those who seek to take it and that keeps him awake at night. The line is commonly used to describe the heavy burdens and threats that come with great power.

Miss Diego Luna this dude is as good as Denzel Washington playing gangsters I think he’s even better
@miguelpereira12628 ай бұрын
Denzel is good but not even close to be a reference playing gangsters/mobsters. Al Pacino is the guy,then you have De Niro,Pesci,Ray Liotta and Gandolfini...funny how all of them have italian blood.
