Such as Rudy coming to the US. Andrew and Kahlyla talking about Rudy and how she is supporting them but little does Andrew know she will later become a member of Bad Friends family. There is so many tidbits that you hear in these old episodes that are now reality which actually amazing to see and hear! I wish I can list them all but rewatching old episodes after being caught up is actually amazing

Mexican here. The "El popo" story was kind of off but mostly acurrate. The legend says El popo was a warrior that was going to get married with the princess after returning from war but a love rival of el popo told the princess that "el popo" died in war and she died of sadness. Then el popo came back from war and found out about the princess death and he got depressed, so after a time he build a montain and got to the top of it carrying the princess corpse, he put her on the very top laying down and sat beside her with a torch to vigil for her. That's why they say every time the el popo expells smoke it means the warrior remembers his love one, his hearth trembles and his torch sends out smoke. The "iztaccihuatl", which is the mountain that symbolizes the princess corpse has the figure of a woman laying down and el popo is close to it.

One of the best things about this show is certainly the natural vibe and silliness to it, and I really didn’t mind the sad tone of the past few episodes revolving around Bobby’s dad because it’s nice for the audience to be a part of the hosts lives, but this is just starting to drag on now. As a weekly viewer, I would be more patient to wait for an episode where everybody feels into it and seems to want to be filming rather than just having an episode because it’s on schedule. K seemed angry and frustrated here, and Bobby was struggling to try to make content out of it. I’m not saying she isn’t probably justified in her feelings, but because it’s such a casual team, I’d maybe just decide to go out for Koran bbq rather than filming if people’s hearts aren’t in it. Always gonna be here for you guys, but I think we need a fun guest or to wait for the new studio cuz the vibe has been a little off lately and it feels like for more reasons than just Bobby’s dad. Take some time off if you need it, we love you.

Memory is a personal thing, and for most it ties to what you love. A few years ago my dad was worried about dementia and thought his memory was fading so he started recording all his daily activities so he won’t forget. I explained to him he’s not losing his memory, the things you forget aren’t tied to the many ways you learned to love something. He was a PE teacher and one of the things he and I did was fix the sports equipment together, especially the archery equipment. So I asked him, how do you fix an arrow? His face was a little confused, and said, well that is a hard question because the arrow shaft could be bent, the tips need to be replaced, the feathers need to be glued properly, there could be a dozen or more things broken that need fixing. I said, there you go, ‘what you love you know how to do a dozens different ways’. Then I asked, why do you remember that from 35 years ago, but can’t remember what you ate last week. He said, see that is what bothers me. I said, the things you forget are often hings you know how to do one way or it is the things someone has done for you out of convenience. You will always remember the things you can do twenty different ways to get the same result, whether it is acting, or being a comedian, or a cook who can fry an egg twenty different ways. Jokes and being a character is what Bobby enjoys because it allows for him to be anything and saying anything without being stuck in a box. So it is okay if he forgets conversations, or things he’s done, it just means he only knows one way to do it and isn’t tapping into his pure interests where he knows how to do it twenty different ways.

Now nearly 20 yrs later, SNL wants to hire an Asian-American. Coincidentally, Shane's past Asian jokes were discovered and his firing was used to create positive buzz about the historical moment.

Watched this yesterday. Did not want to comment but I have enough respect for y’all to say it. I do not think comparing bobby joking with to his friends about race weight or anything is similar to two white men sitting talking about Chinese people specifically like that. Chink is a word with a history of hate from the Chinese exclusion acts. It’s not okay for him to go into a Chinese business and treat them like they are stupid or call them “fucking chinks”. As a Chinese person, just as Jimmy o yang. It affects us differently. But as fellow Asian Americans we need to have each other backs. I do believe people who get “cancelled” deserve redemption. But these were from a year ago and Shane’s apology was not genuine at all. He clearly did not learn his lesson. And for such a historical moment for Asian representation and a big personal moment for Bowen. It is unfair to make him work with someone like that. If it was an office job and he was talking to a coworker like that with Bowen in the office, he would have consequences. Just as he should for snl. I love you guys and respect you all. Maybe I’m biased as a Chinese American women but there was way more to what he said and how he apologized that makes me believe he deserves his termination. Nostros papaya captain.
