I have to say, the title of this episode reminded me of my first date with my wife. We met at a pool hall up in Carmel Mountain back in San Diego and we were in the back alley while she was having a smoke and I noticed a stack of paper cups in a box they used to sell drinks in. The brand on the box said “Sweet Cups” and that became her nickname. I just thought it was cute. I always enjoy listening to the 90s stories because when I was 20 I moved to San Diego from Phoenix in 96’ and started working there in Sorrento valley. All the things Bobby says about SD is reminiscent of my time growing up and completely relatable as an asian American in southern cali. Most days back then, I would literally just be having a beer with buddies in PB after work, and then we’d decide to go to a AMP on Convoy or better yet slog our way to TJ and be eating street tacos on the La Linea after way too many cold Tecates. It was a different time, just free to decide what you want and have fun the way you wanted without depending on reviews or GPS to navigate. I always thought I’d be a comedian too because my mind works like a library of random strings of stories with vivid details which I can put together in funny ways in a sort of sordid flow. I later learned in life I have Low Latent Inhibition (LLI), which is a mind that is impacted through unfiltered sensory stimuli in a state of constant threat awareness and constant child like curiosity. Your mind constantly thinks of connections, all stimuli leads to a past, present, future or alternate versions thought up all at once. I live life empathicly through others experiences from observing all the litte details and then act on them building on the narrative unfolding in an endless path. I’ll find 20 different ways to do the same thing and this is how I express love, and hate is expressed when I only know one way in how to do something. I appreciate the stories in he tells, I felt free, and more me back then. Even though Bobby will say he’s lying most of the time or embelising upon his stories, I can feel he’s telling more truth by saying he’s lying so not to reveal the past as a shameful period. I get it, I was young and broke and did a lot of unthinkable outrageous things in the back of my car and side corners that not even your closest friends would believe. You had to live it to know it was really true or not. Maybe that is the part he enjoys, where the truth and lies have no walls to hide or holes to bury. Many holes indeed. Another great show, I listen to them regularly in my average life here in Austin TX now. I love you guys even though I don’t know you, it feels like I get you. Thanks for all the time and effort you all put into the wonderful work you do.

whenever my dad finishes a meal at a restaurant and cleans his plate, the waiter will come by and ask if we liked it and he'll always say, "It was awful" followed by a laugh. Gets the waiter every time.

I purposely don’t fake laugh for people at work because I don’t want to encourage people Who aren’t funny to tell me jokes. So I either ignore them completely or I death stare them. And now people know I only laugh if I actually think it was funny so the times when they do actually make me laugh i feel like it’s more enjoyable for them like they achieved something lol

I kinda wish she wouldn’t have brought up the wedding thing on this episode. She always tries defending herself and it comes off aggressive for no reason. But now since everyone is mad at her, she's changing her reasoning to "oh the groom and everyone's family would feel weird." First of all, it's not your decision to make Khalyla, so don't decide who should and shouldn't come to someone else's wedding. Second of all, Jessica wanted to invite George so why would she invite George if she knew everyone would feel weird. It's her wedding so I think she'd know who'd be upset if he came.
