Fun fact: The sights for this launcher in Squad can be adjusted up to 500m horizontal direct fire, but there are also 200m and 300m options for vertical fire like a mortar, for shooting behind walls and obstacles. I hoped he would show it but i guess he might not even know of it.

It is always a good idea to have some extra explosive and suppresive firepower in your Assault Rifle. That's what the Grenade Launcher is for!

For those, who are wondering why GP-25 shot didn't explode at 4:24 All grenades fired by grenade launcher have safety mechanism which prevents them from exploding if they traveled not enough distance. This feature, actually, was shown in CoD games too

the MW and MW2 GP-25 feels like you’re throwing a cinderblock it has so much drop. While in every other game it’s basically an under-barrel RPG

I like how CoD Ghosts had it's handheld version and not the under barrel version like 90% of other games, probably because people don't realize a handheld version exists

Thank you for this! I'm a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. nutter, and for me, the GP-25 is essential equipment. A trusty traveling companion if ever there was one! Of the unmodded games, 'Shadow of Chernobyl' does the best job with it. The other two S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games screw it up by replacing aim with zoom for no reason and also by having the player character grasp the nub grip like a foregrip while firing the host rifle. That nub grip is only for the support hand to grasp while firing the launcher. It just doesn't provide enough grip to be used as a foregrip while firing the host rifle. *Note regarding launchers:* Here's a list of mistakes games make in depicting the GP-25: Omission of aiming (or replacing it with a cheap zoom). Cockeyed aiming (see also other launchers like the Groza from two of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games). Sight is on the wrong side (and is often non-functional, referring back to the previous two issues). Caseless 40mm grenades are depicted as having casings (which is so incompetent it astounds me). In a lot of games and mods, the player character will grasp the launcher's nub grip like a foregrip while firing the host rifle. You might see poorly trained conscripts do that IRL, but you'll never see a Spetsnaz grenadier do that. *Note regarding sights:* The GP-25 has a quadrant sight on the left side. The GP-30 and GP-34 have leaf/ladder sights on the right side. *Note regarding munitions:* The standard 40mm munition for the GP-25 is the VOG-25, though it can also make use of flares and gas canisters. All munitions used in the GP-25 and its successors are caseless. All launcher grenades have an arming mechanism that arms the payload in-flight. On top of that, VOG-25s also have a 14-second safety fuse that engages if the arming mechanism fails after the grenade is fired, detonating the grenade in a predictable fashion. 3:13 Technically, the Groza's launcher is based on the GP-30 which is the GP-25's successor. It has a flip-up ladder sight instead of the usual leaf sight. The GP-25 has a quadrant sight similar to the one on the American XM-148. Each of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games has a GP-25. Why didn't you go with the one from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl? You can actually aim it with the quadrant sight and it's not cockeyed. I require an explanation as to why you failed to show the correct launcher in the series in which its most iconic. Why'd you go with the Groza's launcher (which, I reiterate, is based on the GP-30), and why the one from Clear Sky that has cockeyed aiming for no reason?

Modern Warfare II/III: we’re literally the same thing as the M203, Madbull XM203, QLG-91 (the Chinese version of the M203) and the FN40GL and we literally have the same blast radius as well and can OHKO/bonk operators in the chest or head lol

I ask myself if they made the reload animation in CoD that way to "balance" the GLs because the GP-25 would reload faster because it's a careless grenade launcher.

The Grenade from Insurgency Sandstorm seems to be a slug or undetonated. If slowed down, the shell still looks normal, and there is only one hit when shot on the wall

Only Insurgency, Squad, MW/MW2 Remastered, BF2/BF3/BF4, Project Reality, Stalker and Black Squad has right reload animation and correct grenade (VOG-25) used in GP-25/GP-30 launcher. Black Ops 2 uses VOG-25, but has wrong animation with throwing away case. Other games use grenade for M203/M320 launcher.

In Insurgency sandstorm, You're using the buckshot launcher instead of explosive one But one thing for sure that in IRL, yes, there is buckshot launcher
