One of he most beautiful songs I have ever heard - a mix of Tony Banks'piano sound,Steve Hackett's 12 string guitar and Peter Gabriel's vocals. But I am taking nothing away from Pete's musicianship and artistry- he is his own man when it comes to composition and playing skills he is up there with the very best.

A masterpiece, as much for what it says, than how it does. How our world would be, if we all went home, and were told "Welcome home, we love you."

Reminds me how much I still love music this is up there amongst the creme de la creme. Music written and sung by a genius with a voice seldom heard in this so called new age. Bravo.

I just discovered this gentleman of song 6 months ago. I was brought up listening to Genesis, Seals and Croft along with other musicians. When I first heard these artists, I was immediately sold after several bars of their music. Mr. Peter Jones is one of those musicians whom, you only need to hear several bars of their song to be hooked. I feel comfortable buying anything he creates knowing I won't be disappointed. You are a rare talent Mr. Jones. Hats off to you.

I saw Pete at The Royal Albert Hall with Camel. He has definitely brought a new dimension to the band and that's coming from a Camel fan of over 40 years. No wonder Andy Latimer snapped him up when he heard him. However..... this is something else. I'm not ashamed to say that I wept openly when I heard this. It's absolutely astonishing! Pete's mastery of so many instruments including his beautiful guitar playing is just amazing. And as if that was not enough you have his voice which is full of emotion, has a lovely rich tone and of course, is bang in tune. This is a lovely song. Touching but not mawkish. Perfect.

The performance on the Prog Report at Home is breathtaking, literally brought tears. Amazing talent.
If I didn't know any better, I'd think this was written by Mike Rutherford (Genesis). Both Mike and Pete Jones have a knack for writing simple, catchy, yet highly moving melodies. And with lyrics like these, this song gets me every time ❤.

Saw Pete at The Platform with Pendragon on Saturday, he was amazing. Blew everyone away - 400 people going bonkers for a support act - a guy on his own on piano. Was amazing. A Visit To Chigwick, for all who remember Camberwick Green etc will have you in bits. Worth Saturday's admission alone. Wonderful :-)

@gregsaltis16614 жыл бұрын
I was pointed here by someone on a Genesis FB page and about 2 minutes into the track I see why. This is almost everything I love about Genesis with his own spin on it. I achieves a kind of intimacy that Genesis never consistently did and I say this with the full admission that Genesis is far and away my all time favorite band. He stands on their shoulders and climbs higher. Well done.

Magic comes true with Peter Jones. Thanks! Lyric: Now as the cold night closes in and dreary and grey are the skies Thousands of candles light the darkness bringing a smile to our eyes Pull up a chair please and feast from our table Such pleasures are worth more than riches or gold This is our custom to share in our company Far from the cares and the toils of the day a part of the spirit, close and cosy and free from all thoughts of despair Sit by the fire, don’t be hungry or tired Come inside now and out of the cold We’ve all been waiting to welcome you in Won’t you please come back home? All should be near at this time of the year There’s no need to be out there alone Now as before we’ll throw open the door Come on home Now we give thanks for this time together and pray for the ones who were lost Pray for the fallen, the sick at heart May they soon be with those they love most Picture the landscape, a cold wintery scene and tell me how cold is the night I’ll light the fire, while you pour the coffee We’ll set the whole world to rights The glow of the fire and the dog at your feet like a balm for the soul and the mind as we leave all the madness behind This is our time when we’re feeling a closeness, a part of the spirit Long may we live for this moment to give it, the gift most precious, the gift of friendship of love Sit by the fire, don’t be hungry or tired Come inside now and out of the cold We’ll all be waiting to welcome you in Won’t you please come back home? All should be near, Old Man Winter is here This is no time to be on your own Now as before we’ll throw open the door Won’t you come back home? Now as before, we throw open the door We’re so glad you came back home

Just what I was thinking. Definitely Entangled. It has the musical feel without being an out-and out ripoff. And both are largely Hackett tunes.
