Dogs are used to instill confidence as well as be a place of comfort for baby/ young animals that bond doesn't go away and the dog usually gets to visit the foster kids.

Unless they grew up together from puppies 🐶 and cubs. . It's an amazing 👏 situation if it just stays friendly like it seems to be but I'd fear for the dog 🐕 if one of them woke up one morning in a bad mood..

Tigers, lions and the like: the huge cats, practice quite tough love. The goldie most likely has to bite them at the neck or something to tell them to knock it off. The tigers have respect for the doggo because its their adoptive parent. Go check out Dean Schneider on YT. He is the dad of a whole lion pack in south africa, among other dangerous animals, and the lions affectionately nudge him around. Its quite frankly astonishing

That's how big felines communicate amongst themselves. They are playful and a bit rough. It's actually really common with abandoned big cats to put them with dogs. A lot of dogs have a really strong mothering instinct and they'll take on other animal babies. Cheetahs in particular are such nervous animals they get dog emotional support friends and are raised together from babies.
