Like someone earlier said: Tigh is one mean, hard SOB....then he cries like a baby in the next episode when he' s forced to kill his wife. One of the best characterizations on any sci fi show.

I'm impressed. This is my favorite Tigh quote, and when I looked up Saul Tigh, it was a pleasure to see that this was the first thing to come up. Glad to know that enough other people took note of this that it made this clip easy to find.

Such a deep line. Peak writing and acting by the talents that made the show what is.

Without a doubt, the most chilling scene in the entire series. This adds another dimension to an already complex character.

Michael Hogan, what a stunning performance he did in this show, what a master actor. They all are.. Miss you BSG, best tv production ever made...

Michael Hogan is so good in that role. I met him at a signing, and got him to write "we're evil men in the gardens of paradise" in reference to this speech, cos I just love it so much. Got to chat with him for a while later on too, such a nice guy.

i think tigh is setting up some explosives there. based on his location (underground) and his demeanor i'd say he's doing resistance work. this small monologue and the dialogue he has with Roslyn later in the episode are what really made me love Tigh as a character. "so take your peity, and your moralizing, and your high-minded principles and stick 'em someplace safe until you're back in your cushy chair on Colonial one; i've got a job to do." just pure undeniable 100% awesome.

Colnel Saul Tigh. Best and most original XO in ANY Sci Fi shows or movies.

In "Eye of Jupiter", when Adama says they're getting ready to nuke the planet, Tigh is surprised at first...but then smiles.

Love this line! "One man's/cylons terrorist is another man''s freedom fighter!"

"Speaking of 'death and destruction', this chronic will DESTROY you"

I like this quote because he's telling the chief something not only what they were on New Caprica, but what they were in the fleet in season 4. (tried to keep that spoiler free)

I was watching man in the high castle, and I saw Saul Tigh in the resistance as a priest!!

Even back then Saul kind of knew they were Cylons

if there's anyone that comes close to John Locke as best TV character ever, it's Colonel Tigh

Chilling scene and episode. Why didn't this episode and series win more Emmys? They did pick up the prestigious Peabody though.

Punished Saul, the ultimate badass.

I found Saul's speech quite ironic esp. when they found that they're Cylons (season 3) and revelations of what they have done in the past leading to the present (season 4).

Typically brilliant writing for BSG. The brutal philosophy of guerrilla war summed up in a few lines. And I always thought that Tigh was the most interesting and best-acted character on the show, with only Adama, Roslyn or Baltar coming close.
