He constantly stated he did not learn anything from Eyez and it shows. Tight Eyez always pushes his little homies to not depend on crowd hype and be able to go more than 3 rounds, and Beast is proof of that. He went round for round with Eyez and did not care about crowd hype. That was Eyez whole point at the end, he holds a certain standard and never stops trying to get better. Others like Bad Newz are trying to call themselves leaders but they don't dedicate the time. He would have earned the people's respect if he matched Eyez with quality rounds, but he could not go more than two rounds, and he is a OG in Krump.

It's not that hard to understand. Not sure why many are making it out to be secret ancient knowledge. Many of the individuals who Eyex trained didn't always agree with the way he lead, but couldn't deny that he was the best. So they started leading and pursuing the vision they saw for Krump. Eyex never had a problem with that, but if you are going to lead a Krump movement without the principles and values that Krump was built on then the hammer will be waiting. Krump was built on Famz- bloodlines, mentorship, a pecking order, earning your respect, always being labbed up, and respecting those who you found already within Krump when you got there. If you are going to establish yourself as a Krump leader then automatically you have to disagree with fam hopping, lookyloos at the session, getting buck in weird ass non krump attire ( bare in mind that Krump attire once used to be a revenue stream for the movement), not leaking tracks, not serving the same krump style and moves every year etc, and obviously the main basic of Krump is that it starts with your Heart. Eyex is saying that his motive was not to be the best, but Krumped from a real place which resulted in him being unmatched- that is really what he is trying to pass on here, but the mockers aren't listening. The beef is rooted in the difference of opinions between leaders within the movement. Where the new generation of leaders were willing to overlook many of the principles that the movement is built, which an O.G will never agree with Especially the primary vessel for the creation of Krump. The cycle of students tolerating Eyex's leadership style while they need to learn from him and then start talking Buck to him once they got the information is something that almost every Big homie has experienced. When you pour into people and they take everything you have given to them and take aim at you is what Eyex has experienced too many times. So long story short, Eyex distanced himself for a while and allowed the new gen to lead. But it's been a while since you've seen the kind of buck that comes from a place that is beyond wanting likes and affirmation and a W. Eyex is talking about the kind of buck that makes the suicidal want to live etc. The essence of Krump is missing- which is a fact! So he returned and delivered the hammer accordingly.

At the end of the day it goes back to the old adage that we all touch a different part of the elephant blindfolded. No one is wrong for describing a tusk when another can only feel its hide. But true ignorance and dissonance occurs when we refuse to accept that krump is and will always be UNIVERSAL just like any other art… yes you have to pay homage and know the roots (thats all street art/cultures basic rule) but you dont have to live it to a T… if that were the case… no one would still be getting buck smh

That is a REALLY deep and insightful point right there. I love the way krumpers think, man. This art form does something to your brain. I'm in Boston and live pretty close to Harvard and MIT. I have very smart friends... yet some of the smartest philosophical thoughts I've ever heard came from the mouths of krumpers. That line above was one of them. I'd love to record a Zoom call with a handful of smart krumpers and talk about the consciousness and personal growth that comes from doing this art. I think people might be interested in a more conscious conversation instead of the gossip that stinks up social media and gives the world a bad impression of us. We need a deeper, smarter conversation around this art form and what it can do for people. My first teacher here in Boston said something interesting when I first got started. "Krumpers are a different kind of people. You can take a salsa lesson and 2 hours later you can dance with someone. With krump, you can't do anything for 6 months! It takes a different kind of dedication to stick with that."
