This is truly so excellent all the way around but God Griffin's animation is so sassy and very good

I'm lost for words, you're too talented, the amount of creativity you need to come up with all the visuals that elevate this bit tenfold is just outstanding. Love the designs for the boys, they convey their looks and personality perfectly and the outfits and sets are just wow, loved how their journalist clothes reminded me of the margaritaville episode. And the animation! The transitions and sets and scenes you came up with make the bit so much funnier, it was truly a pleasure to watch, thank you!

Beetlejustin is perfect and also I adore how you've animated all three of the boys. Also any bit that involves Griff walking away from the mic is comedy gold.

The beginning clip of griffin hurriedly fixing the green screen and getting Justin was so good

my favorite parts: - the way justin hits that first pose with the hat at 0:10 - the 'fantasy costco' in the neon lights at 0:14 - the reflection of the greenscreen on griffin and travis at 0:32 - SPIDERMAN TURN OFF THE DARK REFERENCE - griffin getting got by his own megaphone at 1:09 - the whole. silent movie section. (also justin's incredulous expression in the beat right after!) - travis putting the caution sign on the roof amazing. showstopping. never been done before. i loved it. (Also, thank you for having captions!)

This is incredible: you’ve added so much context to every one of their jokes, adding physical comedy and visual callbacks. Very impressive: obviously lots of thought went into each part and you’ve transformed it in ways impossible in the original medium. The dance! The silent film section! The expressions! The character design and illustrative style (I love the way the character’s hands feels unique to each of the characters). Worth the amount of time you put into it, I’m very entertained, impressed, and inspired :)

Griffin walking Justin in the dark and pushing him out on to the stage is such an inspired choice. This is a masterpiece tbh

this is absolutely glorious! It's so hard to pick favourites but that part at the beginning in times square is just *chef's kiss * - the way you have the box in the corner for Travis and Griffin and then switch to them on the ground? The way Justin morphs from Spiderman to Phantom to Beetlejuice? I love your mind! But then every aspect of Griffin as a director of a play feels incredibly spot on. And the reaction shots on Travis? The little animations around his head? The way his hands move? And my god that ceiling at the end. I kind of want to go frame by frame but I can't, so I'll just end with praising Justin in front of the curtain with a spotlight on him because YES

oh my god this is amazing. the amount of details! justin in the singin' in the rain outfit(s), the way griffin moves like an action/mystery anime character, the dynamic poses and angles and incorporation of backgrounds! I am blown away

When justin started to shake it I was in awe.. absolutely fantastic

the animation is beautiful but there’s something so funny about how overly confident justin’s singing is and yet because the backing track was added in post and he’s REALLY taking his time with these notes, it quickly leaves him behind

Surprise Gypsy reference! Surprise Beetlejuice reference! Always delightful how tightly the "musical-theater nerd" circle and "McElroy nerd" circle overlap on that particular Venn diagram.

The costume changes and stylistic choices in this are FANTASTIC, this is so fun

god this is incredible!!! i’ve been hoping for a finished version of this ever since you included it in that compilation of unfinished animatics :’-) the sequence of director griffin blasting himself in the ear with the megaphone has truly lived in my mind rent-free since then. this is such a delight to watch-i love the way you take their bits and make them into whole scenes with settings and lots of movement, everything just feels so alive!! the julia stiles bit and justin’s dance killed me. love all the tinier more background gestures too-seeing griffin through the door of the audition room sending people away, travis getting him & griffin popcorn, griffin checking his nails while travis is talking, etc. just chock full of incredible stuff; the amount of detail you put into these is amazing. fantastic work as always!!!!
