We started our morning with visiting boulangerie in village of Faverges to purchase croissants and bread for breakfast. We found a decent spot in French Alps on the way to Tignes where to enjoy the local goods and those from day before when we visited supermarket in Faverges.
After arriving in the stunning town of Tignes where all mountains were covered in snow, we found out that "Alltrails" app misguided us and the actual hiking trail in the winter turns into a ski trail. Perhaps it was our own doing because it was our first time during winter in French Alps and we might have underestimated the forces of nature.
In the evening we finally got to open gifts that we brought with us from the Netherlands and it was fun to see what we got for each other for Christmas. Surrounded by mountainous French Alps we spent the evening in the communal area cooking and hanging out with other guests
