Well this seems mostly correct. But at around 37:31 he plays a song called “Mother, where are you?” A heart-achingly beautiful Armenian song that Tigran arranged for piano. Here is the It goes to about 45:00. He has other performances of this song on KZfaq. It is one of my favorite pieces he plays.Please see this performance for KUTX Austin. The extended coda is improvised in the Armenian folk style kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j5ufmsijv8vIp6c.html And here is a link to a choral version of this Armenian song that Tigran interprets here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b62qa8-Ly5PKZmw.html

I am afraid of what Tigran could do if he also becomes a professional drummer.

So beautiful ! I'm always surprised by the tolerance of any virtuoso towards an untuned piano however !

It might be an aesthetic choice to give the music a rougher and raw feel?
@cooldebt3 жыл бұрын
@Dialiectics Junkie may be right or it was not possible to get the piano tuned in lockdown. Whatever the reason, it somehow fits the beautiful music anyway.

Tunings are odd on some recordings too (check our For Gyumri). I've been wondering whether it might be deliberate deviation of standard equal temperament tuning. I always think the way he plays and sings deliberately brings-out/emphasises higher harmonics.

if you every get a chance check equal temperament vs pure innotation, technicaly equal temperate is a state of untuned wich creates essentially chorus effect of the keys making it bol

Sounds in tune to me, I've been playing the piano for 35 years. Not sure what you're talking about here...
