Hello Tiho ! I am just a hobby keyboard player at home and not travelling with the instrument. I bought my Korg PA5X 76 last summer and i must say that this is a fantastic keyboard with such amazing sound / styles ! I updated it with the new version in nov/des. 100% All of the detailed explanations you provided about the development of musical devices are sound and undeniable, and the point I liked the most is that the users of the old devices did not like the development that happened to the devices.

I totally agree. Since years with Korg I stay with my Korg Pa4x and just combined it with Ketron SD90 for refreshing my setup. Waiting for the Korg Pa5x “Musikant” and maybe some month more for new Yamaha arranger hopefully. After i will compare all and decide.

Hello Tiho, Thank you for this nice explaining and comparsion. I think you are totally right. For me (semi professional Keyboarder & Entertainer) is this the Situation: Mostly I play with the Korg PA4X Musikant, sometimes with Yamaha Tyros 4 BE and sometimes with Ketron SD 90. Now I like to update my Keyboards to newest Generation. First I bought Yamaha Genos and was not satisfied with this Instrument so I sold it. Now I bought Ketron Event and Korg PA5X Musikant ( I hope it is coming soon) . I keep the Korg PA4X and I sold the Ketron SD90. And what I do is what you explained: I have to do a Lot Work to make all my Registration and Styles for my Songs and my Programm new. But after that I have a new Quality and for me I think it is worth that work. And for me is the Kombination between Ketron Event and Korg PA5X the Best. Maybe the next Yamaha Generation is better than Genos. I think they have to do the same like Korg, changing the Operation System totally new. There are some Bugs in the Event but I am sure with Updates in the Future, Ketron will fix the Problems. All the Best to You. Keep on doing Videos in English 😊

Thank you for the fair comparison. I have had all korg pa models and all Yamaha tyros and Genos and I agree with you. I recently purchased korg pa5x and I put it on top of my genos. I hope I can provide a side by side comparison video soon. I converted many sets from other korg to pa5x. Only intro1 didn’t sounds good and just needs a tweak to resolve it. Korg is aware of many issues with the new os. on korg website they promise they’re working on it. I mostly use Yamaha since last 10 years but I think I may switch back to korg with this new pa5x

Hi I have most keyboards from korg roland yamaha teknics ecet…specially korg from I3 pa80…. Next year I bay it 5x and finally I hear much different quality of better sound and drums and mix totally from korg Most of music players in Albania have problems with 5x but I don’t have problems and I think is a great arranger for playing with styles and sounds . Compliments for your video !!

Thank you for this very interesting video. As for me, I'm not looking for an arranger keyboard for sound quality because I want to buy the one that offers the best styles. Let me explain by comparing a Yamaha Génos and a Ketron SD7 ... drums, bass, guitar, brass, organ, piano, are better on the Génos. But when we compare the Génos and the SD 7 with styles of rock'n'roll, twist, salsa, samba, bossa... The Ketron plays better !! The sounds of the Ketron SD 7 are less good but the result of the style played is better and on the Ketron which is more inviting to make people dance (...) Tiho, I have two questions for you. If I want to play (style + play) Boney M ; Disco 70's and 80's ; Elvis ; Chuck Berry ; The Platters ; Tom Jones (These are the music I play) - Which is the best buy : Génos, Pa5X or Event ? - Will the new generation instruments offer better results than the models they replace ? I agree with you. Korg pa4x is really bad especially on stage, as you said korg is only a solo instrument. Is it worse it; to spend a few thousand dollars to get pa5x to get better quality? or just stick with Yamaha or Ketron?
