The special software isn't really available and not easy to use. I remember a forum with a person who justified to do everything exclusively with Yamaha and also argued with a non official software. Roland and Korg allowed to create a style from scratch including a guitar mode.

Hi ! i 've got both and Ketron is more Live playing because of the audio drums and live guitars , for my part i play my styles on my PA4X wiht no drums but use the one of my SD90 styles sound better

No. SD1 is older model, no touch screen. SD90 have a beautiful, clear, big touch screen.

If we compare the Ketron SD90 with the Roland BK7m, the Ketron SD90 is certainly more powerful because it has many more options such as MIDI control, Sampler, Registration Memory, User Sounds, User Styles and many other functions that are needed for a live performance. The advantage of Roland Bk7 is that it has many more MIDI styles that are more usable in the studio than audio styles and also Roland has recognizable quality Roland sounds that we can hear on many famous songs. Roland sounds fit fantastically into the mix in studio projects. I would say that with those sounds it is closer to studio projects, while Ketron's sound is ideal for a live concert and needs to be refined for the studio mix.

Sto se tice Korga nikakvi stabilniji informacija nemam. Znam da signali koji dolaze sa strane su i pozitivni i negativni. Prvo Korg PA1000 je proizveden u Kini sto je prvi puta da se desi nakon prethodnih modela te klase koji su se proizvodili u Italiji. Drugo epidemija i problem sa cipovima su usporili izlazak novog modela za kojeg mislim da je vec bio u pripremi. Ta zbrka na relaciji Korg Itally/Kina/Germany o kojoj se prica jos je nejasna ali ima jedan pokazatelj koji je nadam se pozitivan ili moze biti losa vjest. Povlacenje korga iz prodavnica je ili zbog izlaska nove spave (kojoj se nadamo i koju ocekujemo) ili prestanka proizvodnje sa nejasnim smjernicama dali ce korg biti i dalje u trci aranzera. Ako ga nebude vise ostacemo na nizoj klasi Korgova kao sto se desilo Rolandu dok ce Jamaha i Ketron ostati u vrhu. Mislim da Ketron radi ozbiljno na novom modelu a vjeruje i Jamaha koja je definitivno mocna kompanija i koja nece propustiti sansu da izadje na vrh. Ozbiljno je moze ugroziti Ketron koji je iako mala kompanija uspio da odradi nevjerovatan posao i napravi mocan arranzer. Ako korg radi organizirano i potajno vjesto sakrivajuci informacije od javnosti ubrzo cemo saznati i ja se iskreno nadam da ce ovo sve biti rascisnjeno ove godine jer dugo se cekalo a zivot ide dalje. Vrijeme je da neko se vrati ili propadne.

I am Editing In Intro. See SD90 screen. When you push Intro button you are automatically in intro part of the style and you are doing editing in Intro.

If you already have tyros 4 I think that Genos is a better choice for you. I prefer SD90 more than Genos because of the sound quality. But i have SD90 not SD9. You already know how Yamaha works and it will be compatible with Tyros4 user styles. If I have to chose between SD9 or Genos I would choose Genos because of OS stability, Usability(sampling memory), Joystick no weals but to me SD9 is a better sounding keyboard. SD90 with a good MIDI controller is more usable than SD9.

I think we play the same kind of music, to make people dance. I changed my Tyros 3 to the Ketron SD7. No regrets, the styles are much more dancing on the Ketron. I imagine that on the SD9 it must be even better. (but more expensive). I didn't want to change the Tyros for the Genos because I'm sure the styles haven't changed much and there are a lot of functions that don't serve me well, so the SDx, for someone who primarily uses the 'arranger is very good. On the Genos, you cannot adjust the octave of the style part ! All what you can do in the Mixing menu of the Genos is available on the SD90 and Pa4X as well !

Genos is a beautiful instrument. It sounds nice but I prefer Ketron. To me Ketron is more natural sounding instrument.

@@Tiho2012 I have been using Ketron for 40 years and been able to make a living playing for dances , I really sound like a real band, Yamaha sounds like karaoke comparatively.

Genos can sound pretty good, some styles are pretty comparable with the Ketron audio styles. But when the Yamaha style isn't optimized for revo drums, it would sound much better, to play the Ketron Drums by the Yamaha style. Yamaha sounds also like a real band, but with a technician, who likes the drums boomy, who applied too much filtering.

I like Ketron and Korg more than Yamaha but I like Yamaha Genos

So Ketron Event is more expensive than Kenos. Korg PA5 76k is more expensive than Genos 76k. A module is always cheaper than full Keyboard but it sounds the same like full keyboard. Generally Ketron has been always more expensive arranger than Yamaha.

Completely wrong. I don't hate Genos. If I hated it I wouldn't have bought it and had it for 3 years. I'm just disappointed in a couple of things about the Genos and I hope it gets fixed in the next model I buy because I love Yamaha flagship instruments. I always have keyboards from Korg, Roland and Yamaha, but since 2018 I have added a Ketron. I had a Nord for a short time but plan to get it again.

In my Ketron SD90 the styles are good, but doesn't always match my needs. Maybe I need in variation one a live guitar, that plays a bit less, so it's easily done and can be stored in a registration, you can store it as user style, but you haven't.
