I agree with all that was said, you need to understand the season you’re in and honour that and sometimes even go to the extent of filling in your loved ones so they can understand too. I also agree with the non-negotiables because I believe those are the things that also keep you sane/grounded even through the grind.

I myself am the kind of person who is big on not only knowing what kind of friend a person is to me but what kind of friend I am to them together with the mutual dynamic we share within the friendship. It is covert but there is a constant mentall check-in to ensure that even if an element of outgrowing at any level happens that it needn't build into something that feel painfully uncomfortable.
